I have my launch console still and it works fine ( abit loud) i take it apart to dust it and re apply thermal grease every year.. She still runs like a champ.. Sometimes its how you treat things that causes them to die.
Personally I will have my PS3 right next to my other consoles in the future, I kept my Xbox and PS2 hooked up until I had no interest in it. I have over 114 games on PSN (full titles and PSN games) and a library of 60+ games. I do not plan on using the streaming...
Patient for what exactly? For devs to continue to show other systems footage of games? Or running the "games" you "THINK" you're getting on Xbox One on PC's?
No thanks, Microsoft lost all of my trust pulling that DRM crap. If they can shut it off that easy, they can turn it back on as well, at any given time.

Look at any off-screen gameplay. The amount of post-processings is what is making the game run @ 60FPS.
Also no real-time lighting, no weather effects and basically a static skybox.
It will look and play good but the limitations are clearly noticeable.
Even the Forza 5 devs said expect jaggies on the back of some cars cause its impossible to hide.
But at that point you own the System and then what? You think Microsoft is going to return all those consoles that people dont want. Sure especially after signing into Xbox Live you agree to a EULA that you can't file a class action lawsuit of ANY KIND against them for any reason.

I think people like it to flex their e-p33n honestly. I like them to try and challenge myself to complete 100% of the game as possible with some type of indication, that I've done all I could do.
Two months is cutting it close, reguardless of driver optimization or not. How much trouble is Microsoft actually in with all this? Do you think 3rd party DEVS are slowly reaching out about the power of each system for any particular reason?
I think that Devs will probably work on the PS4 version as the main developing platform, and if need be tweak it down to function properly on Xbox One.

The only reason i cant agree with you ATi_Elite, is because the only multiplatform games we've seen are infact running on PC or PS4.
The Division, Destiny, WatchDogs, AC IV all on PS4.
COD Ghost was shown on PC (not Xbox One like they want people to believe)

This game was more like Bioshockish to me then Amnesia. Honestly it has this the look and feel it was going for but lacked the Amnesia scares. Getting terrified when you run out of oil. The puzzles in Amnesia made sense. this game was more like fetch quest.

@Hicken, lets just assume you know nothing about livestreaming.
Livestreaming is very very intensive on your PC if you have high quality settings 720p+ 30fps-60fps.
Also the "interface" for both Xbox One and PS4 will be limited to what Sony and Microsoft allows (Do to performance impact while gaming)
For example. If I stream Battlefield 4 on my desktop and want to stream it at 60fps @720p it will max out my CPU and cause lag throu...

I've invested over 1000 dollars on a streaming PC and even if my PS4 has Twitch integrated I still prefer to use my hardware to stream cause I try and achieve the absolute best quality I can for my viewers. I highly doubt you will have that kind of freedom with the PS4 or Xbox One for livestreaming.

The splitter strips HDCP from the PS3 and possibly PS4 to the output signal, on both your capture device and your TV.
I can confirm this is in fact the best way as I've done every method of stripping HDMI and this is the easiest and best.
This is the most expensive way to bypass HDCP. I don't understand why people do this as it cost a lot more money then the simple way.

Never said you did mistreat it, but its just something I did to take those steps to ensure that it would last as long as it could. Its an electronic piece of equipment it is designed to fail eventually they all are. The best you can do is treat it like a car and routinely do maintenance on it after the warranty is up.
That will go for PS4 and Xbox One as well.
