More than likely an agreement they made with the studios before buying them up. I think for the most part (fanboys aside and all that) the issue is how much bragging Microsoft has done about their new console. What we've seen in actual gameplay (which isn't even running on the XSX) was underwhelming period. This only added more salt to the wound. 4k60fps is great and all but not at the "level" of what they showed.

Pretty sure Sony is doing just fine with proper games, not all VR games work out, this clearly is one of those cases, but plenty of other games are pretty great and sometimes amazing. The only way VR is going to grow is with having this crap release and devs learning from it.

Or maybe this has nothing to do with Sony. Maybe Bungie doesn't want their fanbase on Xbox One to have a disadvantage over Scoprio players (since they share the same ecosystem). Maybe Bungie is the reason that the game is running at 30fps on all console platforms for PVP because of shared ecosystems. Even if they wanted to push the game to 1440p60fps for PVP it would have to be extremely lower on base PS4/Xbox One so what are we looking at 720p60fps?

I was referring to the DLC exclusivity not the game from Insomniac. You basically said it yourself. You don't like when 3rd party studios have exclusive deals with Console makers. Regardless if you like it or not, all companies do these types of things. Point is it doesn't make Sony "have a bad look" in the same way Microsoft doesn't for buying up failing or successful studios.
