Master Chief (John) doesn't talk much in the Halo games.
Anyway, I think the real problem with Other M is that the character they portrayed was totally at odds with the strong, independent & dominant Samus everyone had assumed must've been within that power suit.
Or rather, they tried to, many years ago.
Thanks for sharing, Cat! I thought the concept for SBS looked great, but as we approached the release date, some seriously poor feature decisions became known... like the lack of online multiplayer, and the silly reasoning behind its exclusion.
Reflecting on the game's popularity and sales, I think FireHose might also admit this was a mistake.
I think it's better that the author stayed away from addressing Samus Aran as a strong female character.
Historically she has had no cues regarding her gender beyond "oh btw you play as a woman". Moreover, she has never spoken a word and thus has rarely offered ground for analyzing her narrative behavior; that is, until Metroid: Other M... which would probably be the wrong game to discuss when looking for positive things to say about Samus.
Pretty sure Killzone 3 released on the same day.
Just saying many console owners would chose an exclusive instead of the worst version of a multiplat.
How the hell did this get approved?
The source indicates it CAN be hacked, not IT HAS BEEN hacked.
I went there at 11:50 AM at the Milford CT location and I was told the same thing.
Man, how are people still getting this to work? Maybe I should try a price match at best buy.
What did you use to price match? The web page isn't there at toysrus.com anymore. What did you give them as proof?
WTF how are people still getting this to work? I went to my Toys R Us, and I was greeted by an employee with printouts claiming the deal has been corrected: "Buy 2 and get a $50 gift card".
I will call the other store in my area, but I have a feeling they all got the memo and are adjusting accordingly.
That wasn't a launch title; it arrived a few months after the October 26, 2000 launch date. I believe The Bouncer was released in March of 2001.
But it was a fun 3D beat-em-up. Too bad it was so short. The cutscenes occupied maybe half of the game!
I don't remember what all of the PSP's launch games were (I bought TM: Head On, THUG2:Remix, and WipEout Pure at launch) but PlayStation consoles generally don't have a history of great launch titles.
PS1 launch highlights (1995):
-Battle Arena Toshinden
-Ridge Racer
-Raiden Project
-Rayman (was a port)
Of course far greater games came in 1996, and then 1997 brought system-sellers like FF7. From there on, PS1 accumu...
Once you see it, you see it everywhere.
Woohoo BLUE AND ORANGE
Another surreal trip courtesy of the PlayStation Network.
They don't stand for anything.

Was it really such a surprise that Wii U won't play DVDs or Blu-rays?
Neither did the Gamecube or Wii. They don't want Wii U to play movies because consumers have so many other devices that can already do it.
There won't be a Wii U version of BF3.
However, there will be a Wii U version of Medal of Honor 2.
When Peter Moore got on the stage at Nintendo's conference, he said everything with a hypothetical spin, asking the audience to "imagine a Battlefield experience" using the unique hardware of Wii U.
He never confirmed any of the games he talked about; that's why you won't find a single source claiming he did.
...
Inferior to PC? Well, yeah. Everything will be inferior to PC.
But there's a reason they're comfortable showing the PS3 version on live TV, and yet when asked about the Xbox version, they say "it's not ready yet".
People need to calm down. It looks great. Not PC great, but still excellent for the product of 5-year-old hardware.
I guess some people were spoiled by the PC footage?
It's fair this way, too. To achieve that idealized PC image quality, I'll need to spend a few hundred bucks upgrading my rig just to pump out a steady 30 frames per second.
Or, you can buy a PS3 and the BF3 game for half that money, and get a perfectly playable experien...
"I’m not sure I would want to be launching a dedicated portable device right now into that market. I think the DS - if you look at the 3DS, certainly versus people’s expectation's it’s not been as successful as people would have thought. So that’s a very crowded market and a very, very red ocean right now with a lot of change happening."
Focus on that "very, very red ocean" statement.
