I'm pretty sure I saw this submitted before.
I'm saying no. These manufacturer's change over time. Sony from 2004 is not the same Sony as today. Nintendo from 2004 is not the same Nintendo as today. The same is certainly true for Microsoft.
This is from a whole goddamn year ago.
I really hate these topics but among the big three my ratings would be something like this:
Microsoft IED:
Too much Kinect for me, zero announcements for new Kinect-less exclusives, multiplat demoes, Gears 3 yet again, embarrassing Kinect demoes with unconvincing merit. Poor third-party Kinect representation; what about those core games that some Japanese developers showed at TGS 2010, like Steel Battalion? Possible to draw inferences on Microsoft's priorities bas...
You were reading the SCEA PSblog, for North America.
In Europe, it's September 28th.
In America, it's September 27th.
HOLY SHIT this is awesome, they even thought of the purists! Reverse-side cover art RULES!
But as usual, SCEA is screwing this up:

They didn't even mention reverse-side art! It better be there, or I'll be cracking skulls over at the Foster City headquarters.
The audience reaction was quite telling. Kaz heard it, so at least he knows how people feel about this.
AT&T has always been my carrier, though. Any Verizon customers want to tell me what I'm missing? I've been thinking of switching but I don't have any good reasons yet, aside from everyone saying AT&T sucks.
Wouldn't you prefer watching it directly from Sony?
Sorry I replaced it but here it is for reference:

Yeah I love that diamond logo too! They've had it for 15 years and it still looks great.
At least with Cafe, we don't have any solid evidence of what the first wave of games could be. There's just a load of rumors swirling around, ranging from somewhat believable to ridiculous.
How much time have you spent here in the past week? People have been systematically investigating every last possible exclusive that Sony could potentially reveal tomorrow.
People enjoy these press briefings most when there are massive surprises. We've been killing all the surprises.
If so, I think Sony's may have been more spoiled. We've been desperately feasting on every piece of info on each exclusive they could possibly reveal, and we already know the real name of the NGP.
At this rate it will be more difficult for Sony to impress us.
From the fan reactions I see, the "winner" typically seems to be the manufacturer who has the highest quantity of pleasant surprises.
So leaks where we learn what games a publisher will be revealing at their briefing a week/month before it happens only hurts the fan reaction because they are already expecting it. The excitement level goes down a bit, for when it is actually revealed.
Well obviously. That's how it works. New hardware always gets the most attention.
They always want you to know who they are. That's the only reason they go through the trouble. Fame.
Okay. And what justification do they claim to have this time?
Yes. Though I'm unsure of Battlefield 3, EA's "new ways to play Mass Effect" is actually referring to Kinect support.
if today's games bore you, check out thatgamecompany's Journey.
Here's what he's talking about.

It's not about games.
It's not about graphics.
It's not about gimmicks.
It's about the user-interface. LiveArea gives Vita (N...
Team Siren! Phew. The developer is revealed at last. It's in good hands. This is my most anticipated Vita game.
Also, where did that screenshot come from? Never seen it before.
