PC only? Pass. This game would be much more at home on consoles.
Kinect killed the XBox One's chances of being a competitive console this generation. Why didn't MS actually research whether gamers wanted the Kinect to be forced on them, at the expense of the console itself? They should have put all those resources into just the console, to make it the very best possible, and made Kinect optional (or not made it at all).
Can't believe that a corporation as large and rich as Microsoft could make such a huge mistake. And this i...
Only problem is, Nintendo has been LOSING money for the last two years, thanks to the lack of foresight in the design of the Wii U. And they won't be able to release a new console for at least a few years to resolve that issue, sadly. They really should have put more thought into the design/specs of the system, it came up way short.
Poor attempt at spinning Microsoft's anti-consumer policies, dude. Having less games on a console that is already struggling doesn't sound like a good thing to most people; but there will always be people like you, trying to make it look like a good thing.
Sadly, the sales of Watch Dogs on Wii U will be pitiful, just like almost every other 3rd party game. The reasons? Nintendo fans just don't buy non-Nintendo games (for the most part) on Nintendo platforms. They whine and complain about 3rd party game companies NOT releasing games on the Wii U, then when those games actually come out, they just don't buy them. No wonder almost every company has pretty much given up on the Wii U.
Oh, and the other big excuse lately:...
When I first read the title of this article, I thought it said "The Wii U is worth punting", lol. That would actually be a more appropriate title.
It's a niche title, in a genre that isn't all that popular outside of Japan. Hardly a "game changer".
Sadness and Solitude are great descriptors for the Wii U.
People are so cheap. It's a one-time purchase that gives you the ability to store dozens of games on your Vita, and have instant access to them. I bought a 64gb card from superufo, $85 shipped (took about a week to arrive). I now have over 100 games on my Vita with 20gb still free. Well worth the price.
And they're proprietary to prevent hacking, which killed PSP game development earlier than it should have in that system's life cycle. I'd much rather p...
Agreed, but that's typical for Nintendo. Very stingy in terms of their hardware (which is very feature-poor and low-spec) and game deals.
And with that lamebrain comment, you lived up to your username perfectly.
You do know that even PS4 disc games fully install to the internal HDD? You're not saving space by buying physical games (I do prefer physical games myself, but I buy plenty of digital games too).
As an example, look at Wolfenstein for PS4; the physical disc version requires 49gb, same as digital.
Nothing Nintendo has done for more than a decade is "state of the art", just look at the DS, 3DS, Wii, and Wii U for proof.
All Nintendo has done for the last decade or more has been to release poorly-designed hardware coupled with annoying gimmicks. The Wii, 3DS, and Wii U are all prime examples of this. The Wii was a weakly upgraded Gamecube with a terrible waggle gimmick, the 3DS a weakly upgraded DS with an annoying fake 3D gimmick (which most people just turn off), and the Wii U is nothing more than a weakly upgraded Wii with an awkward, bulky, distracting pseudo-tablet gimmick. Nintendo used to be the bes...
Destiny is an online-only game, can't be played offline, and the game hooks into an MMO world with many other players. It doesn't belong on this list at all. Terrible article.
So, the author of the article is getting Destiny just because of the hype, nothing more. Sounds like a lame reason. I also don't care for (or ever buy) online-only games, because I prefer SP games. So games like Titanfall and PvZ: GW were easy to pass on. I did get Diablo 3 on PS4 and am loving it; SP game that doesn't require online at all.
So, where does Wii U fit into this, with only 2GB of RAM (1GB usable by games)? Shame Nintendo didn't put more effort into the design, they really limited the lifespan (and popularity) of the system.
IPad/Iphone game? Please, those aren't gaming systems.
Nah, has nothing to do with "faith". Wii U owners just don't buy 3rd party titles at all, they only care about the first party stuff. Not a good market demographic for 3rd party devs at all, thus the dearth of titles.
Now if Nintendo had designed a better console, with much stronger specs and features (and no gimmicks), more mainstream gamers might have actually bought it, and the situation would be different. Maybe on their next console, if they even release...
Turn-based strategy game? Pass.
I loved Steamworld Dig (especially on the Vita), but I think they made a poor choice by making their next game this style.
Good luck to them regardless.
