I like John Carmack, but I didn't like how he bashed the PS3 before fully understanding it, then coming back and saying the system's architecture actually works out to be a positive.
Other than that's he's a programming genius and I respect his views and opinions.

They're being so secretive with this title compared to the previous games, but I'm buying it anyway and it's going to sell millions regardless of how many pre-release trailers they spoon feed us.
10million sounds more accurate than 9, but it will be even higher, maybe highest, during its' entire lifetime.
The series is the 5th highest grossing franchise worldwide with all of its' titles selling an average of 10-15million copies. GTAIV is the most anticipated in the series so we can expect it to topple its' predecessors.

Microsoft has the most horrendous 1st party support out of all 3 companies so they rely heavily on 3rd party developers who can go any which way they choose.
Both Nintendo and Sony have EXCELLENT 1st and 2nd party(mainly Sony) development teams, which can easily support their consoles if 3rd party developers sway.
Microsoft needs to build their own house instead of living off rent.

The PS3 is only in it's 2nd year and is already making serious headway in the gaming industry, which was expected.

COD4's online community is the largest of all the games available right now.
Vegas 2 is definitely not going to be as good as COD4 so it really won't be a threat to the community, but I really think they need to release it before GTAIV or else it will go unnoticed for months.
Depending on how good GTAIV's multiplayer is it is capable of pulling away a lot of gamers from COD4.
