if you are going to open your article with a statement like that, then it's up for debate. and if i'm basing his credibility on his taste, then he has none.
just like he's entitled to his opinion, i'm entitled to mine...and mine is that he's overstating his feelings about the franchise for the sake of wanting this to be a good game...which it definitely doesn't look to be.
i thought it was great fun. which system wasn't equal?
EDIT: just looked it up. was gonna say, i played it on 360 and it was silky smooth. that is a bummer though, most 3rd party developers seem to have resolved their ps3 issues at this point.
i came up with this the moment they debuted the move. well there's a missed fortune.
but what's throwin me off is that they haven't even released their 3d tv yet. if i had to speculate, i'd say they intended for this to be THE feature for the ps4, then caught wind that MS or Nintendo were working on something similar, so they moved it up.
that's right. there are a ton of non-hardcore consumers out there that vote with their dollars. and they vote that year after year they want to play the same tired, predictable, boring 2 or 3 games over and over and over.
thanks! because of this mindless consumption of stupidity and repetition, many developers can't get the big budgets they might have gotten in the past to actually innovate. COD is a cancer on the industry, and the consumers are feeding it and h...
truth is truth, and it's just what he said. cod is popular because it's easy. it makes people who aren't good at other games feel like they are "pro" because 2 bullets in the foot is a kill and a melee is instant death. it encourages camping, too. it encourages all of the behaviors you would see a noob do in a quality FPS.
Portal might be my favorite game of this generation. Portal 2 was so lame i couldn't even finish it. it wasn't the least bit funny. just a series of "you so fat" "you so stupid" "you're a horrible person" jokes repeated over and over. ugh.
there are tons of examples. but uncharted is an overhyped, not-nearly-as-good-as-ppl-pret end-example. people are just morons these days who want the most dumbed down, simplistic experience, and uncharted plays on that almost better than anyone. the story isn't interesting, the characters are cliche, the gameplay is linear and boring and ALWAYS plays out the same way. it's just not a great game...but ppl hail it as the best game of the generation and that is because gamers this ge...
hey moron. it hasn't nothing to do with gears 3. in fact, i never even mentioned gears 3. you're just another ps3 fanboy who wants to downplay the perspective of another gamer by pitting your fanboyism against someone elses. gears 3 has a lot of flaws....i was solely addressing the hand-holding that takes place in uncharted as an example.
the fact that YOU are clearly a fanboy DOES NOT mean that everyone else is. grow up.
I believe he is very largely addressing games like Uncharted here. games where you never feel as if you had anything to do with the spectacle taking place on screen. but when i think about it, i can't think of many games that do this just right. i suppose an example would be of games like the elder scrolls series. if i had to come up with a game where the best moments are player driven, then i'd have to give it to halo.
Bad start to a review. How was it one of the most hyped games of the year? the game's hype didn't touch uncharted 3, gears 3, mw3, rage, resistance 3, me3 (and that doesn't even come out this year). i actually felt that deus ex was underhyped. which is a shame, btw, cuz it's way better than i thought it would be...aside from the god awful voice acting from half the cast. and i suppose the graphics could be a li'l better, but deus ex was never known for its top notch g...
