reviewers shouldn't have to qualify their opinions. by that logic reviewers should also discuss the psychological phenomenon that your expectations influence your opinion in their reviews.
in order for anyone to consider you a "legitimate" reviewer, you are forced to put numbers. look at yahtzee. he gives some of the best, most insightful perspectives on games out there; but because he doesn't give you a number, a lot of people can't wrap their tiny b...
just like gears of war 3, battlefield is a niche game. you can't expect it to have the appeal of a game like call of duty. call of duty is an easily accessible, very EASY to play game that any noob can pick up and play. it requires no skill and does a lot of flashy stuff every time you frag someone.
many years ago i remember reading somewhere that a "great" game is one that delivers the largest possible visual reward for the minimum amount of physical effort....

He's talking about functionality. Uni-tasker means it is a dedicated device...in this case, it plays games. That was great 5 years ago when phones were pretty much phones and texters, but now they do everything. Why would you want to burden your pockets with multiple devices when your phone already does gaming?

oh, and i agreed with logic 100%. they clearly had to slightly reduce the quality to make room for the 3D. if you weren't a fanboy (along with most of the 12 y/o's on this site), you'd recognize that.

on topic, i hate the way sully looks now. and i don't really see any improvements in the models over the 2nd game. in fact, i think most of the characters look better in UC2. i'm guessing the transition to 3D caused this.
ugh, i know you're right, but it's so disappointing. i absolutely adore the halo franchise, but i would much rather have them hold off on releasing any more Halo games til next generation. when halo 4 comes out this generation, it'll likely be on a modified reach engine and, frankly, i think Halo should change directions and go a lot darker (i don't mean color pallet).
UE3 didn't hit for almost a year after 360 hit. what we'll see is the consoles launch with some impressive first party stuff and a bunch of slightly improved engines from this generation. then UE4 will hit and that'll mark the real transition of the generations.
if sony's next console is as big of a leap as the last gen, i'll buy it day one even if they release it tomorrow. i'm fiending for new hardware. my comp is by no means top of the line and games just look so much better on it. generally, i'd rather game on console, but it's getting to the point where i can't justify buying games on anything other than PC.
