Not really excited for any of these except maaaaybe Biomutant. All the others seem extremely generic. Grindy space online shooter, online post apocalyptic shooter and a zombie shooter... ugh

I'd argue that most people just didn't like the game because of the arguably dated gameplay and that it moved too slow for them. But fanboy fanatics hate stuff for the weirdest of reasons, so I wouldn't say that the other reasons are completely off the radar either.
Just imagine how people on this site would act if rdr 2 was a ps exclusive.
In other words it’s not for everyone. Some enjoy 2 hour long documentaries while others rather would watch a fast paced episode of Rick and Morty.
Main reasons why people on N4G hate Rdr 2:
1. It’s not playstation exclusive
2. It’s not nintendo exclusive
3. It’s on Xbox
4. Rockstar is mainstream and too popular
5. They just didn’t like the game
I can understand why people would disagree with the goty but I don’t understand how some can’t understand why others think it is goty.
It’s not dubstep just because Skrillex made it. It’s more close to standard pop EDM.
I honestly think it’s better than the cheesy second song. Though the new songs don’t come close to simple and clean or sanctuary imo.
Haven’t played Far Cry since FC 3 and I didn’t care for Far Cry 5. But this looks more interesting imo.
I’m not sure if anything will come close to GoW or Rdr 2 except Last of Us 2. But 2019 will be great either way. For ps4 we’ve most likely got Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone, while on Switch we’ve got Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Metroid and the next Pokemon.

(Honestly though, I wouldn’t mind playing Zelda and Mario on Ps4. I’ve got both a Switch and a PS4, but having all my games in one place would be conveniant. I don’t care about brands, only the games and how they’re played.)
I barely played smash wii u single player, but I’m loving Ultimate. There’s finally a reason to play beacuse of the unlockables and the spirit mode. It’s also way more balanced than before and certain characters are vastly improved. Not to mention that online battles are more fun now that you can’t just constantly dodge-roll around the stage and not get punished for it.
I’d honestly argue that Rockstar was brave aswell. People expected rdr 1 and gta 5 in the wild west. Instead they slowed the pace all the way down and focused on small interactions instead of the 'big bangs'.
I LOVED God of War, but I also LOVED Red Dead 2. I don’t like the thought in the comment sections that you have to hate the other to like the other. They are so different anyway so I don’t get why one needs to be better than the other. By which metric anyway? It’s only ...

They are vastly different experiences and it’s really hard to compare them. It’s a bit like comparing a episode of the office with a episode of game of thrones and then asking which show was the most entertaining.

No use in targeting single developers, they only follow the directos lead. But I agree, I’ll definitely look out for the leads on this game.
The comments they are showing are laughable, don’t go to a online mp shooter for historical accuracy.
That said, almost everything else EA does sucks. I haven’t bought any of their games for 4 years and I’ll continue that trend.
I don’t like EA, I don’t buy their games BUT I can agree that the whole «feminism is ruining everything» comments are totaly laughable. It’s a game and why you would go to battlefield for your history lessons is beyond me. Woman might be forced in the game (yes) but I don’t see how it in any way ruins the game.
What have Xbox and PS4 got? Which other games than Days Gone have been confirmed for 2019? Last of us 2, ghost of tsushima and death stranding are unconfirmed and given the thought that Sony is absent from E3 this year I can’t see that they will release many exclusives.
Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Fire Emblem are all more or less guaranteed 85+ metacritic games. The rest is promising.
