Even 2029 feels too soon.
I think we're at a point where budget is more of a restraint than hardware limitations when it comes to graphics.
Bought it on release and got a platinum for it yesterday. I think it's a great stereotypical open world game that can be enjoyable if you are in the mood for that kind of game. But it's nothing new. What carried me through was the addictive combat and a unhealthy compulsion to see and do everything that. It's great junk food inbetween Michelin courses like Clair Obscure, Silkong or KCD2.
Read it in a preview, but it seems to be false. I’m way more optimistic after the new trailer and reading better previews.
Happy to hear that!
I was excited, but the previews detailing the new bumbling sidekick with slapstick comedy that follows you for the entire journey and holds your hand by letting you know the answer to puzzles and if you miss something got me really worried…
I'm happy we got Helldivers 2. But I believe Sonys biggest mistake was trying to force big single player studios to make multiplayer games based on big single player IPs. It just sounds like a bad idea from the get-go. Why did they need to force great studios like Insomniac, Guerilla, Bluepoint and Naughty Dog to make big live service multiplayer games?
Nintendo stayed true to their exclusives and innovated with Switch while Sony and Microsoft chased specs and branched out into live service games, subscription services and went multiplat with their biggest exclusives, either on steam or the opposing platform.
Xbox seem like a lost cause, Sony need to find their footing again after betting too many resources on cancelled live service games, while Nintendo seem to be striving.
It seems like a turning point in the i...
I think we will be getting a lot of new exclusives for Switch 2, but it will take a while. Nintendo is known to sit on finished games for months, and sometimes years, before releasing them because they pace their games slowly to maintain hype and to give each of their games enough space in the limelight. Which is most likely why we had to wait a month for Donkey Kong to release, even though the development was done.
Imo Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong, Kirby Air Riders and ho...
Depends on the developer’s skill to optimize.
Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 was around 10 hours. When did 13 become short?
Thought it was very similar to AC Shadows narrative as well with the Onryo killing the protagonists family, and then for the protagonist to set out to find and kill them one by one. But I think the main difference will be in how the story is told, the world and the gameplay. I don't know if you've played Tsushima, but Tsushima's gameplay is rather different to Shadows more hack'n slash based gameplay. I feel Tsushimas gameplay is more impactful, varied and more skill based. ...
Wasn't wowed either. It looks like a safe sequel with improvements, but I wasn't expecting something else either. But if it's more of the same of Tsushima it will be good, so I'm not really worried. And I'll probably play it day one as well.
Some good suggestions. I'd love to see Robin Hood.
I'd bet Lilo & Stitch will be one of them considering the popularity after the live action version. From what I can remember we only got a glimpse of the world in Birth by Sleep.
I bet we will get Moana as well.
And since we got Pixar worlds before I guess we could also see Zootopia, Cars, and Nemo as you mentioned. They do at least have cool transformation potential.
Would...
Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.
Had the same thought. Game key discs is not anything new. But maybe it’s because Nintendo is stating it cleary on their physical copies. So now more people know that it is a thing, even though other companies have been doing it for a while.
Mario Kart Double Dash and Melee would be nice. Hype from the smash community would be through the roof if they released Melee with a online mode.
80 is bad but here in Norway the game price for Switch 2 games is almost doubled from Switch 1.
Mario Kart World is listed at $101. (NOK1099) While Donkey Kong is listed at $92 (NOK999) Previous switch games were from $55 - 65 (NOK599-699)
Not to mention that the Switch 2 itself is $618 without MKW and $688 with. (NOK6695 - 7449) The first Switch was $320 (NOK3500) when it released in 2017.
The spike is insane. I really want one, but it’s hard to...
@MrNinosam
About the same price as Sweden here in Norway. It’s wild. 7449 NOK. 693USD / 1153AUD / 630Euro / 537 GBP)
I don’t get why the scandinavian countries got the worst deal.
Edit:
Nvm. It seems Brasil is worse off than us.
@Ps5conehead
That’s the narrative, but there’s hundred of pages with nuances that makes this a bad idea. Most countries had tariffs on select goods from the US, which is very different from what US is doing by putting a tariff on absolutely everything. If you compare the consequences it’s night and day. And it’s not like US didn’t have tariffs on other countries before Trump either.
Trump’s whole rhetoric is to get back at others, and it works because people are upset and n...
I believe it's less about Nintendo and more about AdHoc, the developer, and CERO – the japanese rating system. CERO's code of ethics prohibits nudity:
'According to CERO’s Code of Ethics, expressions of genitals and sexual intercourse are prohibited. While high-rated games (D and Z) may contain sexual content, they typically require censorship to remove explicit nudity, such as female nipples or full-frontal nudity, to comply with these standards.'
