Let's see: 18 games in 10 years.
Comparisons:
Call of Duty - 14 games in 14 years.
Super Mario - 23 games (including arcade, Japan, and handheld only titles), 32 years
Legend of Zelda - 18 games (including handheld, side games), 31 years.
Judging from results I would venture to say that a break wouldn't hurt Assassin's Creed. Nor would making one every two years be a bad idea, so the franchise (and gamer) has time to...
I'm going to have to strongly disagree here.
The article points out that out of the decades of Star Wars games only 12 managed to sell a million copies (or more), which says the brand is tired, spoiled even.
Now on a quick glance it seems that most of those titles are from Gens 5 and 6. So, given the time periods, it would be wise to say that single player titles work better.
Given the industry climate today where 1 million seems t...
1. I was actually fine with what we got in the latest outing, but I wouldn't mind if more voice acting was present either.
2. Time travel could be cool.. wildly cool, if done correctly.
3. I'm not so sure. This would be interesting, but could also be troublesome. Going back and forth, if the option was there, could be annoying if not done correctly. Worse possible thing would be you couldn't go back.
4. Technically this should go with number 2. Don't...
That really sucks. Well, better than them actually opening it on Christmas to see what the Soap Fairy left them or getting a box of batteries with a note that reads: "toys not included."
Learn something new everyday. Pretty awesome tidbit, and it makes sense considering Sweet Home, but I'm actually glad it went the way it did. I don't think it would have scared me as bad on Super Nintendo as it did on Playstation. Fun bit of knowledge, though, nevertheless.
Rinse, Repeat, and Piss off the Masses: The Sequel. Confirmed.
In terms of bankruptcy, no. There are simply too many young gamers and "casuals" that will buy into their garbage. If this were a fight, I would say EA was the cocky opponent that got hit with a unexpected right from the quiet kid. That's all. We don't know what happens next or how it ends, but what I do know is that this recent fiasco confirmed, again, why the older generation dislikes them, and why a new generation of gamers will now doubt them. Their crappy reputation liv...
Still not buying it, but I can't help but feel that whoever wrote this was grinding their teeth and cussing under their breath.
Normally I don't care, but you are trying way too hard. Any one person on this site could easily say that another console sucks, because that's not hard, what is hard is bringing something meaningful to the table for discussion or just, simply, being mature enough to not say anything. masterfox, I would like to think you're better than what you just posted.
I personally don't think that feeling ever stopped, I mean, which of the Big 3 want to lose to the other? But it is interesting that Yamashita specifically mentions that and Nintendo's changed attitude.
I hope this isn't a part of the upcoming DLC or upcoming DLCs for the game, as I would rather have a new IP entirely. Well, either way, bring it on!
Clearly I don't speak for the community, but I would imagine no one jumped on Activision because of the manner of how it was done in the given example of Call of Duty: WW2. Not to mention, EA has been considered the bad guy for so long I would imagine gamers relish in any hurt against them. I don't blame them, though, because EA deserves a lot of the backlash they get.
As for me, I sure didn't forget about Activision (or any developer) using microtransactions. I'd r...
Better act fast before they take it down.
In my opinion, PS Now or not, I don't want to pay to play for a whole extra service that could have been built in or added with PSN.
I'm talking about using an emulator for actual disk play, which Sony (and author) claims isn't a valid path for fans in the article so they put money towards exclusives. I think you simply misread me, Sonic_Vs_Mario.
Linear games are fine. Always will be. EA just lost the ability to make a good one and made up a reason to be lazy with microtransactions since it's easy money.
I know there's time yet before everyone goes mad with expired coins, but it's time for a Switch upgrade in My Nintendo.
So, basically, it would be too expensive of an emulator. I'm certain this excuse is so they can continue to promote PS Now. How is this a valid path for long time fans?
I would love to be able to put a PS1 disk in and be able to play, but I suppose this will never happen. Guess when I want to play a classic I'll continue to hook up the original Playstation until Raspberry Pi 4 hits and I'll have every previous gen system I need in one convenient spot.
Not bad for a new system. That's probably, roughly, half of all Switch owners. Not a bad pull at all.
This should be really interesting if Disney acknowledges this petition, which I'm almost sure the House of Mouse will just say they have faith in EA and be done with it. Now while I'm sure there are better candidates out there for the license, does anyone truly believe in Disney's gaming decisions given that they picked EA in the first place?
