The man has had quite the life, so I would definitely buy a ticket. The project is backed by Dicaprio, which puts some weight behind it, and though it is ten years in the making I believe I may just back these guys.
Both mediums could still work, but it is the studio's fault that those movies, for the most part, fail.
Just about every novel which was claimed to be "unfilmable" was chosen by a director that had a vision and made it work. So then with that in mind, video game movies are still doable, but need to be looked at a bit more seriously before licensing the franchise out.
Generally after rights are obtained, and if the author chooses, they can help with...
This is insanely charming, and in "glorious black & white" too! Color me intrigued, no pun intended.
Definitely memorable. Sucks you don't have your copy! Thankfully I kept mine, although I was tempted to sell more than a few times admittedly.
Ubisoft didn't tell Vivendi where to go, but good news nevertheless. I personally find it more interesting about what were the details on said agreement. Man, the things one has to do to stay independent!
Side note: "eityh"? I'm going to guess you meant "with" and not trailing off with some form of youngheimers.
Ubi has been buying a lot of companies that were mobile based over the past few years. Tencent probably sees an opportunity to learn or wants in on the ground floor for whatever Ubi is planning.
Killer 7 was an interesting title, and idea, but I still don't see many people buying it.
Players would probably be more open to it now though, considering the changed gaming landscape since the title came out.
Now if Suda made a sequel, although doubtful, I'd be one of the first in line.
Good point, Edmix. I suppose I'm taken back a bit to see a Gamecube title running on a handheld. Hard to believe the GCN was basically ten when the 3DS launched. I think I forgot how old I am, man.
Luigi's Mansion is definitely underrated! I sadly haven't played the sequel, but here's hoping a third title is announced so I can jump back in. Hey, maybe Luigi's Mansion 3 will be like Ghostbusters with an optional four player on Switch. Could be cool. If ...
That's pretty impressive for a 3DS, at least in my opinion. As a proud owner of the original title for the Gamecube, which I actually got a week or more before the system released, I'm happy a new generation will get to enjoy Luigi's Mansion, but still so very jealous they got Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Well, at least both are on one system now.
Vonderhaar changed his name on Twitter to "REDACTED" and deleted all his posts except this one: "I used to see everything in absolute terms. Black or White. Zero or One. What happens next will show you what I have learned, that you do not yet know."
Battle Royale mode incoming?
They're pixelated, or something got lost in the Hedgehog and Puma translation... of course there's option three: stroke.
And it has the excellent choice of music In a Snow-Bound Land from Donkey Kong County 2 playing in the background. Well done, good sir, on two different levels.
And I don't blame you. I sure as hell don't want to, but eventually in the distant future we will. I'm going to say 50-60 years.
I'm not saying Microsoft is dictating gaming; no way, I'm saying digital is gaming's future no matter the company. I just used Microsoft as an example, because of the article.
I believe that is where we are heading with gaming, streaming and downloading, and should possibly be there in our lifetime.
I can always count on the voice of reason from you, rain. I agree. So very true.
I do think digital is going to push out physical eventually, as I mentioned before, but I'll be an old man by then or dead. There's no way digital is happening tomorrow, but a lot can change in 50 years with customer adaptation and companies testing the waters.
Calm down, man. I don't know what digital or an opinion did to you, but it's over now. I promise you're safe, so there's no need to be so condescending to me or anyone else here.
Are you saying that technology won't get better in your lifetime? I have to strongly disagree with you there. Look how far technology has come in just twenty years, it is astounding.
When this distant future comes it will be Steam and whatever streaming and...
Simply put: time.
It's not just Microsoft, it's the future of gaming, and entertainment. Everything will be digital eventually, especially as customers begin to trust digital media more.
Microsoft had a goal with the Xbox brand, and that was to make an entertainment hub for your home, expanding on what Sony did with the PS2 and dvds.
What better way than tacking-on things to a device that already has a spot in the living room that sells millions?
...
That blows. All that data and time gone is enough to drive a person insane.
At least Nyko is willing to replace the console, dock, and compensate for the repair cost.
I'm glad to see someone can take a joke.
The Need for Speed series definitely has some highs, but my favorites were Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit ('98), NFS: Underground ('03, even though that ending was almost infuriating), Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 ('02), and then finally Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit ('10), which was undoubtedly because of the magic of Criterion Games.
And now that I look at my list I'm beginning to see a trend.
