Hard to top that outstanding first year, and although I do think this second year has been more quiet on the eastern front than I would want, 2019 looks to be making up for that.

Cliche by now, but Super Mario Bros on the NES. I didn't have much of a connection with my dad when I was young and since he played video games that title would become our common ground. It was with this game's imaginative fun and power to bring people together that I felt these pieces of plastic should stay a part of my life.

Because apparently the people in charge have a soft spot for tech employees that apologize.

And for those prices you probably think I rob trains regularly. Well, in an immortal word of Arthur Morgan: "Sure."

Blowback from the mobile announcement showed there's still plenty of interest in the franchise. It feels like a desperate attempt to gain fan support and raise the stock of a pretty aimless company this generation.‎

Ugh. Germany lifts the ban and now this patch takes a step backward. The 'M' rating should have been sufficient, and I'm sure any kid still has access to Google that could find far worse things. So much for progress... well, I lost my picket sign so I'll hold a torch - anybody got a lighter?

This is going to be the first time when I can honestly say the wait of the game won't bother me near as much as the download is going to.
