The only people that don't really play Nintendo games are middle school boys that feel like they are being judged for liking things that aren'trated T or M. Most Nintendo players are actually older, more mature gamers that understand that Nintendo makes stellar games for everyone.
It's x86 architecture. It's not lazy developers. There are no secrets to unlocking hidden caches of power like there was with the PS3 and its SPUs. Sadly, this time around we will not be seeing an incremental improvement in graphics as developers "become accustomed" to the "new hardware."

PS4 is probably only as capable as a $700 budget gaming PC. Something you can use for many more things besides gaming.
Besides, PC games are always cheaper.

This unit was not designed with older more serious gamers as the target demographic.
Why are so many people misunderstanding the purpose of the 2DS? It's for a very niche market of younger tykes.
This time, it's actually not underpowered. It's actually quite powerful for a gaming console.
PS4/Xbone are mid range gaming PCs. You can't expect something with an APU to keep up with dedicated CPU/GPU setups.

a zealous bunch they've become haven't they. Sony fanboys more than any other fanboys I've noticed treat Sony as though they were gods, and they are the mindless followers of their dogma.
The touch pad is just that though. A pad. It's not a screen. And while it was initially awkward to hold the Wii U gamepad, once I got used to it, I found it surprisingly comfortable. And as far as the touch screen is concerned. Once Muscle memory takes over, it is a non issue. Also, most touch screen buttons that are used during live action oriented gameplay are generally only located at the edge of the screen in convenient to reach places.

That was the case with custom architectures. It took developers a while to learn the tricks. This is not the case this gen. They are using x86 architecture. We're not going to see a huge difference between games. At least nothing like the jump from Uncharted to Uncharted 2, anyway.
