It really is. I had traditionally gone with Nvidia, but my past two cards had been AMD, and I've been most pleased with them. Depending on price and performance, I was thinking about going back to Nvidia this time around; however, it seems I'll be continuing my AMD streak. This time with the R9-290. Not the 290x, but the regular 290.
I want this game sooo much! This is totally as Final Fantasy should be.
Why are people making such a big deal about poly count? A good game is a good game. Graphics is nice icing on the cake, but first and foremost comes gameplay, story, and creativity, hand in hand.
Hopefully NA territories are next!
It's not really going against PCs though. It's really just making PCs more accessible to people that prefer the simplicity of a console.
Well.... it's a step in the right direction.
It's a shame when developers themselves become fanboys.
'bout time!
Since when is the only game company that is profitable every year be considered to be on life support. The problem isn't Nintendo, it's increasingly jaded and band wagoned anti-Nintendo "gamers."

So to sum everything up.... Consoles versions are not as impressive as people were led to believe.
It should be noted that most launch games are rushed messes.
Sony's been doing the same thing though. They are convinced(and they're right, too) that people will believe that the high end PC versions of games are the console versions. Of course once people have these games they're gonna' realize that we are in the generation of diminishing returns. That the leap from last gen to current gen isn't as big as people were hoping.
I did like X,XI,XII, and XIV:ARR looks pretty good. But FFX was a step in the wrong direction.
I would assume so. Every time Nintendo releases a console, they begin work on developing the next one.
Not enough to hold /your/ interest, maybe. A few jaded fanboys don't represent most gamers as a whole who love playing Mario or Mario Kart. Apparently Mario Kart on Wii wasn't enough to hold anyone's interest. Well, you know... except the 34 million people who did buy it.
Fingers crossed!
And many classics from both of these amazing systems can be legally played with both the Wii and Wii U~
Not surprising, the install base isn't nearly at what the PSP install base was when portable 3rd came out.
But why are they clearing out the 3DS too? That's strange.
Even though Ubisoft has kind of been screwing us on content, I never the less bought Assassin's Creed III, ZombiU, and Rayman Legends at launch, Splinter Cell: Blacklist near launch, and preordered both Assassin's Creed IV, and Watch Dogs on the Wii U, so.... I'm doing my part. Of course if the console lost support I'd just play on my beefy gaming rig. I like the Wii U though, because the gamepad offers an experience I just can't get on any other console, nor on my PC. Tho...
