If you were familiar with just how cheap software is in the PC gaming domain, then you wouldn't even question why this is a good idea.
And my gaming rig has been connected to my audio receiver/TV, I'm just 3 clicks away from running everything on that instead of my monitor/headset setup... so what's your point?
How is this really considered a betrayal?
Game on.
Actually, though you can tirn off the gamepad, you can disable the gamepad screen from the gamepad options. I do that when I use other controllers to save on the gamepad battery life~
Even though a lot of the games are available elsewhere, you'd have to be crazy to say that out of games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Assassin's Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Batman Arkham City, New super Mario Bros. U, Mass Effect 3, Rayman Legends, Pikmin 3, and the wealth of indie titles that there is nothing available. In fact, I would even go so far as to call you a truly blind fanboy that has completely lost perspective. Oh course, we can tell this by your avatar. Poor...

Happy birthday!!!!
It's an awesome system. It's too bad that it's difficult to understand the value of the gamepad without actually having some real down time with it.
It's still looks pretty good for a cash grab.
Sounds like someone is trying to make PS4 owners they'll actually be playing at PC level. Of course only the Sony brigade will swallow that one.
Regardless of the graphics, this looks like it's going to be a really great game. Graphics aren't everything. Gameplay, story, and creativity are what really counts.
I'm hoping the 9-290 is less than 500!
The you good sir, have truly lost perspective.
Hopefully it fares better. Sony's PS3 lost more money than any other console in history. About 4.7 billion dollars. Microsoft can't afford a failure either, Microsoft has not yet made a profit with the Xbox brand since its inception since they've lost so much money on the original Xbox and the Xbox 360.

In other news, the PS3 is doomed:

Oh, and so is the 3DS. That's doomed too!

Only the /white/ controllers are being phased out. Not the type of controller.
As I said... ¨assuming Mistwalker owns the rights to the IP.¨ Which they don´t.
Won't happen. Microsoft had a 3 game deal with Mistwalker, and then cancelled the third game from their end, rendering their contract null and void. Then Mistwalker started developing games exclusively for Nintendo platforms. So.... hopefully there'll be a Lost Odyssey 2 for Wii U. Come on Nintendo. Make it happen. Assuming Mistwalker owns the rights to the IP. After all, multiple Blue Dragon games were able to be released on the DS.
Well, I'll be picking up the Wii U version soon enough. Patch was recently released and all.
Actually it really is about that powerful. But since the architecture isn't as easy as x86(though significantly easier than cell), it'll take a little while before the games start to really look impressive. Since x86 is the standard, it's pretty much what you see is what you get for the other next gen consoles, though they will still have better looking games regardless.
