@Xof
I was really shocked by that, especially because of how much money I've sunk into PSN thinking that it roll over to PS4. I have heard; however, rumors of local emulation coming to PS4 which may make at least PS1 and PS2 games playable which is fine by me!

Finally! I love how I can play PS1 games on my PS3 and Vita without buying them again. I've been waiting for Nintendo to do something like this~

Seriously! This needs to come over here!

They are in the process of switching to an account based system. So hopefully those worries will dry away~

Well, they didn't have to look into the future. They knew how often DLC is announced then cancelled, or never even announced at all for Wii U, so they'd be more likely to buy other versions instead.

I agree. I will be the first to say that I modded my Wii; however, I only played games that I had imported from overseas. Oh, and roms that they refuse to release! Come on! Release Lufia and Lufia II! I want you to have my money!

Geez. And people these guys wonder why the sales of Wii U versions don't do as well! This is a perfect example!

For me though, PC offers almost everything that the other consoles already offer, but at a better value. Only Nintendo products really shake things up, and have enough exclusives to warrant a purchase based on that alone. PS4 may offer enough eventually, but it's going to be a while. Right off the bat, the Wii U has compelling exclusives, which really are spectacular. The only way people can play these games and not enjoy them completely, is if they have already made up their mind before ...

It's a good start. They already have the games. Now they have only to face the millions of hateful jaded people that like to call themselves "gamers," even though their ability to enjoy amazing software with imaginative level design has been muddled by their obsessive and dogmatic allegiances to companies that simply pander to the lowest common denominator, rather than strive for real innovation.

They've also offered 100 to trade in an iPad for a Surface. ...though that deal is actually rather enticing.

No thank you.

Nice!

Actually, it's just apps. Apps that'll be used to entice buyers to buy their hardware. Nintendo has already confirmed that they will not be developing mobile games, nor releasing older titles on mobile devices.

So much anti Nintendo on this site. I can't believe what the "gaming" community has come to.

The comments here are all pretty crazy. Iwata is not going to be fired. 3 out of the 4 of the systems created under him have been red hot successes. The Wii, the DS, and the 3DS. Those have made Nintendo a huge sum of profit. Besides, in spite of their operating loss, they posted a net profit of $100 million. So... yeah. Nintendo is still profitable.

In other words, Nintendo still made a $100 million net profit, I.e. they were still profitable despite all the doom sayers.

It's too bad it did. They really just should've invested more heavily into the device and it would have been/sold better.
