How is a console sold at a loss considered overpriced? Food for thought.
Only in the UK man. Sony still has to sell more than one million more units too catch up to global sales. Which I imagine that it will.
Why do you keep wasting your time obsessing with Wii U articles and yelling every one of them. Do not you have anything better to do than rebel in anger, hatred, and ignorance?
You're right, I should have specified software sales. That is what I had meant, and what my point was supposed to be overall regarding how the Wii U will fare. Software front, rather than hardware. Thank you for noting my mistake.
Well, in spite of low sales numbers, they DO continue to sell high volumes of software consistently, and the 3DS is the best selling console this gen.
To those who still want to say that Super Mario 3D World was outsold by knack: It was at the time of the PS4's release. The thing about Nintendo games; however, is that they have legs. While initial sales weren't very encouraging, the game has continued to sell pretty well, as has since sold 1.63 million copies, while ...
I love their games, don't get me wrong, but man are they buggy messes! I can't count the number of hilarious bugged quest/npc stories I have! Good thing console commands can help rectify some of these problems.
Just because something is doing poorly, doesn't mean it is crap. Also, just because something is doing very well, doesn't mean it's good. If you are one of the many who truly can't find anything good about the Wii U, then I truly pity you, for you and many others have forgotten what it means to be a gamer, and what it means to game. If hardware issues are to blame, then I believe you should ask a PC gamer just how well a PS4/Xbone stand up to a real gaming PC.
...
Nintendo isn't really going for anything. Nintendo has always released consoles either 5 or 6 years apart. Sony and Microsoft were the ones that over extended the last generation.
NES:1985
SNES:1991(6 years since last console)
N64:1996(5 years since last console)
Gamecube:2001(5 years since last console)
Wii:2006(5 years since last console)
Wii U: 2012(6 years since last console)
Next Nintendo console: Probably 2017(5 years after the...
Seriously. You can't go anywhere without seeing a Sega World~
Well Simon for sure. Mario, Sonic, Megaman, and a Belmont? That's any old school gamer's dream!
Can't wait to try it! Hopefully it'll still have the touch screen in the middle. I know that the beta tester's versions don't have the screen, so hopefully this is representative of one of those units.
Pretty funny. That said, geez Kojima is such a Sony fanboy. He's as bad as some of the trolls around here. Well, except he's an incredibly talented game maker.
For those that don't know, Nintendo always begins development on their next consoles, just as soon as they release the last one.
You've just proved a lot of people's points. Misinformation and idiot fanboys are to blame for a lot of the Wii U's troubles.
I love how Sony fanboys play the power card when comparing to Nintendo consoles. But when PC gamers call them out, they claim it's all about the games, and that graphics don't really matter. Hypocrites.
Well done~ Especially in a market generally dominated by Sony~
Man, I just don't get why so many people are banding together to run smear campaigns against Nintendo. Nintendo still releases full non buggy games, and they have done more for the industry than any other company, and yet it's become popular to berate anything they make, and anyone who enjoys their top notch products. There is waaaaaaay too much hate and ignorance in the community this days and it's truly sickening.
Only one developer seems to avoid these dishonest practices, and yet almost every "gamer" here on N4G, consistently chastises everything this company does.
Insecure much?
That's really stupid of Nintendo.
Of course, everyone ignores good news related to Nintendo.
