I remember when people were attacking them like rabid beasts because the game at launch wasn’t what they had been let to believe. Since that time, they kept delivering.

But that goes both ways does it not? I mean, while good news also makes money, that doesn’t mean that a negative press train doesn’t make money. Add to that the fact that this game isn’t even released yet, and you have your answer.
If this game deserves this much hate, then every other game like it should also get the same treatment. Is that the case? Nope.
What’s with all the preemptive hate slinging on this game? If you don’t like it, don’t play it. Why is this being treated differently from all the other games like it?

MS has always been at the helm. Phil is only a mouthpiece and executor of the board’s will. That’s how all corporations do it though.
It wasn’t the same thing. Sony’s tiers didn’t take anything away from people. Two of the tiers already existed. No promise was broken. Xbox tiers are breaking promises MS has made regarding day one, while also increasing price.
ND is working on at least two games.
They will do even worse next generation. It’s not a coincidence that MS is moving Xbox into a publisher.

Sony didn’t let MS buy a huge chunk of the industry, MS and their lobbyists did that. Also, Sony will not be able to compete with MS if MS gets a pass on their gaas games while Sony’s are criticized for doing the same thing. Almost all MS games have been gaas games but they don’t receive the same backlash. In other words, Sony are crucified because we liked their single player games despite that they said the gaas games won’t deter them from their single player heritage.
