A choice is fine with me. If a person’s inner circle wants to use the new terminology is completely good. More power to them. But as long as they don’t expect that others must follow suit just because they say so. If society wishes to adopt something, then it needs to do so in a grass roots manner, not by threats, force, or shaming. Just my opinion.
Does it though? I mean, what makes it “generic”. Is it the art style? Or the characters? Sure we’ve seen similar characters in the past. We’ve seen a diverse character roster with asymmetric abilities in the past. But, why are they required to reinvent the wheel? It’s not like there is anything else that can be done in this genre. So I think gameplay is where it needs to shine, and the jury is still out on that subject.

Who gives a shit, they don’t want to sign up, they can always play other games and sign up to their requirements instead. You want PSN games, you sign up to PSN. Same applies to every other platform.

They are gamers just like everyone else. Besides they have the money because they generally have expendable funds. Shit, when I play on my PC regularly, my electric bill is through the roof. Haha
Well, with MS going full PC/multiplatform, PlayStation will need to adapt. Luckily, they are in a position to hold the fort for all lovers of console gaming. Otherwise, if MS’s business model was the norm, we can all kiss console gaming goodbye.

True, there will be new gamers who will be exposed to PlayStation IPs, and they will possibly obtain PSN accounts, both of which make people more inclined to purchase PlayStation.
Well, if they want the games when they release, they will need a PlayStation. If they are ok with waiting, then they can do that. I think it’s a sound gameplan for PlayStation. The release of games on PC, will generate additional fans for the ips.

Probably. But Astrobot is not really a “small title” depending on who you ask. I realize it doesn’t have Mario’s reach, but man that game deserves to be mentioned with the greats. In VR, it was something else altogether.
This is only a State of Play, not a conference so we would be wise to keep expectations to a minimum.

TLOU2 seems the overall more detailed game. Also need to consider the bigger variety of items(in game assets), enemy types, and mechanics utilized in TLOU2 makes it all the more difficult to achieve. That’s not a knock on the gorgeous RDR2.
