RIP Codemasters.... It was fun while it lasted. I have no faith in EA for their past acquisitions. They are probably going to have them be part of the NFS franchise but meybe they will keep the dirt franchise going without screwing them up with mtx.

Dude, the resolution difference will be negligible first off. And second, you should be glad we even got this. they didn't need to do anything to the game but they did. Now the game will run smoother and still have a better resolution than before the update... Its not like the XSX is in native 4k while the PS5 is running native 1200p. In performance mode the resolution is literally 1440p -1080 dynamic(XB) vs native 1200p (PS5)

This is exactly it! It's just a patched BC game. As we all know, XB BC is more robust with options compared to the PS5 which is why we are seeing these differences stated in the article.

Crysis Core on PSP was fantastic, and I'd love to see that redone on next-gen systems. It's pretty clear that FF7 is one of the more loved storylines that they created and they know that, so why not capitalize on that? They are running a business after all.

I think we all know how BC works between both systems. PS5 is performance mode by default on all BC games with a performance mode option while on XSX you get to choose between quality and performance. 👍🏻
The next-gen versions on both systems will have both options to choose from. And then we will see...
What issues are you running into? Other than dumb bugs the game plays fine for me on my rig.
Why didn't you just wait until the upgraded version gets released? Money is being spent regardless.
I stopped playing this when they began implementing the updated version of Unity. I played this back when there was no anti cheat and all that crap when hackers were all over clipping through your base to steal everything you had lol. You are interpreting his words wrong. Visuals meaning graphics ARE identical and they say so in the video. A slight rare occurrence of DRS isn't what he meant with that comment.

That reminds me that I still need to apply for my adapter. The site was always failing to work for me when it first opened up and didn't like the serial number it asked for me to submit.
