Has this been confirmed by MS yet? This article comes off as assuming it's going to be available just because it's the same browser. This would be awesome to do but I'd like to see it say that is possible from MS themselves.

Where did you get that info from? When I look on the PS store i see this in the information below on the base game.

I believe Mark Cerny discussed this during the road to PS5 stating that we would have the ability to choose to install single player, multiplayer, or both. Maybe this is the first sign of that becoming a thing.
Are we talking going to PC day in date with the PS5 or years down the road from original launch?
If it's the latter I would clearly play them on my PS5. If it's the former then it comes down to the type of game it is. FPS/cover based TPS I would go for the PC version but mostly anything else I would stick with playing on PS5.

This is what happens when you have compressed read speeds @9,000+ MB/s. The future is bright for games fully utilizing the new SSD tech in these consoles. Control UE is another example showing a lower storage requirement on PS5 compared to XSX. 25GB vs 47GB

I didn't miss the point, nor was I arguing that it directly replicates the internal SSD speeds... The whole point of a flash controller is to be able to manage the throughput of the storage which I will explain below.

Actually, the internal SSD in the XSX is a Western Digital SN530 customized with a PCI-E 4.0 interface. Link for proof below.

Seeing it in action is almost as good as an official confirmation but I feel that streaming stadia on it wouldn't be something MS would do once the official update is out. Especially if they are wanting to push their own cloud service. Steam being streamed is a different story since it's a pretty open platform and MS sells their games on it.
