"I hope by the time I pick up PS5 Sony has Quick Resume and an easier way to transfer data from PS4 to PS5."

If you actually purchased a PS5 you would know that the data transfer from PS4-PS5 is very simple. During the setup it asks if you'd like to transfer all data wired or wirelessly from your PS4 or start fresh and external drives are plug and play from PS4 to PS5. 🤦🏻‍♂️ And save game transfers being hit or mis...

"The ssd is literally a non-issue on the series s because you can hotswap the seagate cards."

In order to hotswap, you'll need to be willing to pay for the cost of a digital PS5.... So unless you decide to fork over that much money, it most certainly is an issue. Im sure its not an issue for you since it sounds like you managed to afford 3 next-gen systems but not everyone is in the same financial boat as you bud.

@Stotty

Im sure you are out of bubbles at this point lol but I wanted to point out your statista links you posted stating XBLG has 90Mil active users.

That is not just XBLG numbers... thats all of XBL which combines both free XBLS and paid XBLG users which they explain in the statista link. "Xbox Live is available as a free service, but it also has two tiers known as Xbox Live Silver and Xbox Live Gold." Creating a XBL account is just as free as...

UP TO 20% discount off games
UP TO 10% discount off DLC's

Not guaranteed.

The quote was cherry picked because thats what everyone has been saying in regards to what it requires to scale a game down for the Series S to run the game well.

Yes it will be easier to optimize but its not just a simple cut and paste process to get it scaled for the lesser hardware like people were assuming.

"They made a whole video trying to find frame drops and flaws in the God of War PS5 update."

LOL they praised the game the entire time, compared the PS4 to PS5 differences allowing you to see the benefits to this update AND they even said the framerate was flawless through their entire testing session with the game.... On top of that people were begging for this games patch to come out, so obviously they are going to create content to satisfy their viewers.

So then they should just not analyze any PS game from here on out because they "never say anything good"?

I get what you are trying to point out and I notice it from time to time but you wanting to jump to conclusions that they do that and only that because of your disagreement with their videos is a bit silly. I didn't notice them doing what you explained when analyzing TLOU2, GOW, or GOT. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@CromsonWing69

Sort of... but Gears of War was actually an unannounced exclusive title already in development for the 360 when it was used as a tech demo for the Unreal engine running on the 360. So technically it wasn't a tech demo that became a game. It was a game in development being used as a tech demo behind closed doors. Here is a quote from wiki explaining this game was already in concept before the 360 even existed.

"The first concept fo...

I still need to finish the second one and this really peaked my interest! It gives me vibes of the first LiS which I loved much more than what I've experienced with LiS 2 so far.

How often have tech demo's turned into a game later on? I think that is a pretty uncommon thing to have happen.... The only exception I can think of was Kara which became Detroit: Become Human.

@Retrouk

He's meaning the ones that strap around your palm like on the valve index so you can fully let go of the controller.

Doesn't look like you can fully release your grip so I'm interested to see how they implement a natural release for throwing objects. That really makes a huge difference with timing your throwing with grenades and such when you use the index controllers since they have the strap to keep the controller attached to you.

Nope. They may still utilize the PS5 camera to track the headset but it may just be with IR instead or with cameras all over the headset like oculus tracking controllers and the environment.

You don't need all of the buttons at all times in a VR game. For example square would be punch or reload but with VR you just use your body and grip buttons for that. Switching weapons with triangle would be just grabbing the gun from where it's strapped to your virtual character. Just using natural actions will reduce the need for every single button.

Another upside is the fact that we wont need to buy a special aim controller to properly play a FPS VR game since ...

"I don't think that relates here since these next gen systems have high end audio chips capable of recreating 3D sound."

Creating a 3D audio environment is one thing but RT Audio allows the sound from audio sources to bounce off of objects in your environment until the sound reaches you. Similar to how the reverb audio system works in R6 Siege but RT Audio would be MUCH more accurate Vs that system. So having both RT Audio and 3d ...
