4k is a complete waste of resources. Especially when they are small magnified screens right in front of your eyes.
The top headsets available right now have a resolution of 1440 x 1600 pixels per eye. I would expect the PSVR2 to have a similar resolution or more to those headsets especially if they are using OLED.
Multiple things.
-The headsets higher resolution screens to get rid of the screen door effect.
- Dedicated VR controllers with finger tracking instead of the move controllers and the aim controller.
- Higher fidelity games thanks to the power of the new console.
- One cable connection, and possibly wireless (fingers crossed)
- Having the dedicated controllers alone will allow all of these current popular PC VR games like this game, and Half Life Al...
"Though I would bet there are more gamers that do not have upper to high end PCs...My emoji-man."
You missed my point. Why is this an issue now when lots of developers for years have done this with screenshots/trailers that "90%" of gamers wouldn't actually see? Is it just because it's CP:2077 and how it flopped?
@Teflon02
A free game is a free game. IDC if the launcher is worse, I'm still getting a free game. It does what I need it to do which is to allow me to play the game. I use discord for community stuff.
So "90%" of gamers play this game on console? Ok bud. 👌🏽 How is this any different from any other game pushing the envelope with graphics and PC being the only system capable of reaching that level of fidelity?
Only difference being a load of salty gamers who got this on console really thinking the game would perform and look as good as PC on 8 year old hardware.
Honestly, just having more opponents on the track with 60FPS and faster load times is worth it to me.
Xbox version is still capped at 16 cars and same graphics effects from the XBO version.
Nice fresh troll account. Nice to see you using your time wisely.
"HDR is definitely not the norm... and a lot of games don’t even do real HDR."
Is this really true about a lot of games not doing real HDR?
I can't seem to find a list that goes beyond a handful of games that are confirmed using fake HDR.
Everyone is all about jumping on the hate train these days.
Whats dirty? They aren't keeping the games you already purchased away from you. Yeah, it sucks you cant digitally buy a game that came out 2 generations ago. but thats the only downfall to this.
Exactly!
Until it allows to download and at a higher resolution than 720p that is not the answer
Idk about all of the games can but you can download games to play them offline. I tried this with control when I was using my trial.
I think it would be more of concern if it was launched in November rather than October.
I don't think these changes would have happened if they didn't get backlash from the price hike they tried to pull.
With such a misleading title, it doesn't deserve to be read. Backup plan to push to current gen? 🤣
Yeah, this is just a very pathetic clickbait title to stir the pot. Why in the world would a $2 battery cause such a problem? LOL I choked on my coffee when I read the title.
"PS4 costs about nothing, just buy a new one if one is broken."
Or spend less money and have a shop fix the issue, OR save even more money and replace the damn $2 battery yourself if thats the issue.
"Personally I'd just switch the battery, but I understand that some people aren't comfortable with tearing down their consoles."
And thats why tech repair shops exist.
Emulation will be king for legacy content once we start running into these shutdown network situations.
Well if they want it then they have plenty of time to purchase it before they cannot anymore. If someone hasn't purchased it by now, then odds are they don't want it anyway. They gave 2 months heads up which is plenty of time for people to buy what games they want before they are no longer obtainable...
