If the digital version of the PS5 has the same specs as the PS5 (minus the disc drive) then that would be a big win for Sony. I'm not sure that a diskless console (Lockhart) which is less powerful than the Series X is going to be successful, despite a potential lower price point.
@xer0
All of a sudden an SSD is some kind of magical panacea? A faster SSD can be an advantage in some aspects but lets not pretend that it's what allows a console to reach its maximum potential.
You're acting as if the SSD in the Xbox Series X is going to hamper the system in a major way. I'm fairly sure that the hardware engineers at MS are confident that there storage solution is up to the task. It's highly unlikely that they just didn&...
Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, SunCoast and the soon to be defunct GameFly would disagree with that assertion.
Do you spend a lot of time making this stuff up or does it just spill it out in a stream of consciousness?
You sound mad.
@Godmars290
Microsoft's gaming division has averaged about 10 billion in revenue for each of the past 3 fiscal years. How is that "struggling", exactly?
"has no games..."
Can we please stop using this fallacy as a ways to bolster an argument? 90% of the games released to consoles are available on both XBox and PlayStation. Sony has a slight upper hand in the amount of exclusives but the number of exclusive titles is only a fraction of the overall gaming market. Neither Sony nor Microsoft had an exclusive game appear in the top ten sales chart for 2019.

"Its always obvious when people have no idea what they're talking about open their mouth."
Please enlighten us with your vast insight regarding the Series X technical specifications.
@RazzerRedux
"I never said anything was "inappropriate" or should be "abolished"
You inferred it.
The running mile record has been broken over 60 times so it's likely that it will be broken again. But if that analogy is not to you liking then I'll switch it to the automobile land-speed record of 305 mph. Should we avoid saying that the Genovation GXE is the fastest car ever because someday its record may...
@Rude-ro
The term "ever" is an adverb that is used to describe a constant. It is understood that the term does not mean that the constant exists in perpetuity. It just means up to this point in time.
But you already knew that...I think.
So if a person breaks a record, like the running a mile in less than 3:43, then it's inappropriate to say "he/she ran the fastest mile ever"?
Are you suggesting that we should abolish the term ever from the English language?
By your rational Sony doesn't have many exclusives either as I can play them on my PC via PlayStation Now. I guess God of War, inFamous, Killzone and Uncharted aren't PS4 exclusives after all.
Who knew???
@Rude-ro
See, here's the thing, kid. Just because I pointed out your consistent, and frankly puzzling, assault on Gears 5 that doesn't mean that I'm a Microsoft "fanboy' or a Sony hater. The truth is that I'm not particularly a fan of the Gears franchise. I haven't played a Gears title since the second in the series, but that doesn't blind me to the fact that Gears 5 has stunning visuals and compelling gameplay. I can still admit that the ga...
@Rude-ro
You've been downplaying this game for weeks like it's your job.
Is it your job? You probably should look for another line of work. because, uh...you're not very good at it.
@rainslacker
"We're also not an industry exec"
That's where you should have stopped talking. You're clearly NOT and industry exec, therefore you have no idea how a major corporation shapes not only your decision making but what you actually say in public discourse. You people seem to live in some kind of imaginary existence where corporate VPS have absolute autocratic power and are not beholden to higher-ups, a multitude of discordan...
@-Foxtrot
Well, I've been a member since 2007 and I only have about 600 comments. So 4500 seems a bit excessive, which is ironic, considering that sprinterboy is complaining about the amount of times a VP of a major gaming corporation voices his opinion.
You have...wait what...19000 comments!!! I'm not surprised that you're defending him ;)
@sprinterboy
"Does this guy ever shut up"
Said the guy with about 4500 N4G comments.
Cool. Thanks for the tips.
You're complaining about an update. How did you get to the point in your life where you'll go out of your way to gripe about a "small update" in a video game? Think about it.
