That is a great feature.
@ Jin_Sakai
"Another gen where Xbox fans are talking about everything except games. The single most important feature of a console"
That's an interesting quote coming from somone who has posted recent comments on non game related console aspects such as:
CONTROLLERS: "So much praise for DualSense. Thanks Sony for giving us a proper next gen controller!"
SALES: "10 million it is."

@cell989
OK, fair enough. There is another 5 second loading screen after the person finishes selecting the game play options. So the total is loading time is 12 seconds which is 167% faster than the video states.
Actually, it is 7 seconds.
If you'd watched the video you'd see that the person selects the Madden icon at the 5 second mark. The game finishes loading at 12 seconds. The rest of the time is spent choosing game play options.
At this point MS should just fold Games With Gold into Game Pass. I think that they are doing more harm than good with these paltry offerings.
I'm not feeling it. It probably would be more effective if they, you know, showed some actual games. It reminds me of those deceptive movie trailers that don't feature any actual footage from the film.
If the ad didn't show the PS5 logo then it would be interchangeable with a commercial for a tech conglomerate, armed service or sports drink.
...and no, I don't like the XBOX Power Your Dreams ad either.
Cue the fake outrage in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
A show of hands, how many people play video games on a current gen console without an internet connection? Anyone, anyone?
No? OK then, let's move on.
@patriz420
So you're suggesting that Microsoft, a company that has been developing consoles for 4 generations, spent millions on R&D and multiple years building a cutting edge console capable of 12 TF of graphical prowess but OVERLOOKED the fact that it will be held back by a less powerful system. Do you think that the engineers at MS finalized and delivered the Series X only to realize later on that it won't play games which willt take advantage of all that pow...
"Nothing will ever dispute the facts that all games are built for a 4TF system"
By that reasoning the visual fidelity of PC games will never reach its full potential because the games are designed for machines with the lowest specifications. Oh wait...not they're not. The new XBOX consoles are using the same scalability which is utilized in the development of PC games.
You know what will dispute your theory.? Legitimate facts (as opposed to ...
Now the argument is about the resolution of a console's UI? This pettiness of fanboys and their immature bickering will never cease to amaze me.
Really? Man, some people will complain about anything.
Would it be possible to provide your source for this information?
I laughed at "Lechmere's". I remember hearing their commercials on WBCN. I also bought a 3DO. Fortunately, my cousin worked in retail and I got it on discount. I returned it 3 weeks later.
The song "Jessie" by PAW from the Road Rash game is still stuck in my head.
Yeah, who would have thought that the head of XBOX would use PR and marketing speak at a PRESS briefing?
You've said that 3 times already...and been wrong every single time. Try it once more just for laughs.
"the moment the industry will go full digital i ll stop gaming"
So you're saying that you'd deprive yourself the enjoyment of playing games if they were no longer available on a physical disc. That doesn't make any sense. Did people stop watching films or listening to music when streaming became the dominant format? C'mon now, stop being so hyperbolic.
I'm not sure if you are joking. If not, then your statement is completely inaccurate. Most people can can perceive an image flashed on the screen for 1/220th of a second or 220fps. Some individuals, such as fighter pilots can perceive an image at even a higher rate. Humans can detect a difference in the smoothness of motion up to 1000fps.
24FPS has been determined to be the slowest playback rate for film that still looks smooth enough to feel real. This standard has bee...
What did you find in this article that was so overtly egregious? Did you even read it? I thought it was a well written and informative piece which provided relevant information to those that are considering a next-gen console purchase.
Which part of this article failed to meet your lofty "higher standard"? I'm legitimately confused by your "nobody cares" comment, particularly because the source in question is a publisher of tech based content.
So an opinion is invalid unless the individual is employed in the video game industry? Interesting take, since it doesn't seem to stop you from posting 1700+ game related comments. Why would you think that anyone cares about what say about anything?
The video that you referenced shows that the PS5 loaded a few games about 2 seconds faster than the Xbox Series X. Assassins Creed (minus the startup logos) was essentially a tie. In Dirt 5 the Xbox Series X beat the PS5 by 5 seconds. So, what was point point, again?
