Why would you quit gaming if the delivery system for games changed to one that is faster, potentially cheaper, and safer for the environment? The only reason I could see opposition to digital downloads would be that you can't pirate games anymore. I'm not accusing you of piracy but I fail to understand your reasoning.

I've found that IE8 is much more stable and faster than the previous version. I was experiencing several page errors and program crashes with IE7 during even brief online sessions. I haven't seen any of these problems crop up with IE8. So far so good on my end...

The Elite was available in late March of 07 on the East Coast. I remember it took me a while to find a store that could keep them in stock as most stores only received a few units at a time. I purchased mine at Best Buy in early April 07 after calling ahead and requesting a hold on the item.

Um...Microsoft is a business. I'm assuming you understand the concept. The company's "evil" plan is to make money for themselves and thier shareholders. It's completely within their right to charge for goods and services. Why would anyone expect anything different? If these images are GAMEPLAY (not pre-gameplay game engine driven cinematics)then GREAT! Gears also uses it's game engine to run cinematics but they far exceed the in-game graphics due to the lightened CPU load. I'be THRILLED if the final build resembles these screen-shots. I will admit that this gamje looks exceptional. But it is obvious that these images have been manipulated post render via photoshop. The saturation levels have been raised and several filters have been applied (motion blur, contrast/darkness levels, gausian blur, etc). Many publishers are guilty of tweaking their screen shots. I have 3 HDTV sets. I also have a Master's Degree and a 50 hr./week job. It's interesting that you complain about the cost of your hobby yet you are willing to ask for a gift to support that hobby from a total stranger.
