"lol surface area or area is 2d maths"

Wrong once again. Surface area is a measurement of 2D geometric models and 3D objects. This is 8th grade level geometry.

You should stop commenting on this subject. You're embarrassing yourself.

@Gol3m

Volume: the amount of space that is contained WITHIN an object, measured in cubic units.

Surface Area: the total area of the surface of a 3D object, measured in square units

While the two terms are often used interchangeably (and incorrectly) the applicable phrase is surface area.

@sangoku_d

Yeah, no one thought that except for immature fanboys and people who are completely ignorant to the concepts of simple mathematics and measurements. 40% off each side (length, width) would equate to 64% smaller...and no one has made that claim

Also, the term you were looking for is surface area, not volume. Smart-ass.

"HDR...another senseless hype train in the...long list of irrelevant non existent things"

HDR is considered by many experts to be a larger leap in imaging technology than HD resolution. If you are going to attempt make a compelling argument against HDR then perhaps it may be in your best interest to actually recognize and comprehend the technology. Saying "it's not even real" makes you sound like an imbecile.

"HDR is only noticeable to most people on TVs bigger than 65"

I'm not trying to insult you but do you even understand the concept behind HDR? You seem to be confusing HDR with 4K resolution.

It has often been reported that some individuals have difficulty discerning the difference between 720P, 1080P and 4K images on small displays (depending on their proximity to the image). I do think that there is some merit to how these studies inform yo...

I appreciate the effort that you put forth in writing your comment. Unfortunately it is primarily composed of fallacies and erroneous statistics.

"HDR is only a bit sharper in colours , no one really notices the difference bettwen 4K and 4K HDR , unless you got a 80 inch tv "

HDR has nothing to do with the size of the screen. HDR is a set of standards assigned to panels which can display a higher contrast ratio an...

In my opinion this lineup would be the best Games With Gold offering since the program's inception. I own 3 out of the 4 titles but I'm still excited and a bit envious of those that have yet to play these games.

This article is nothing more than lame attempt to stir up some false controversy. I'm surprised that the author didn't use the term "outraged".

You must be under the erroneous impression that people "give a damn" about YOUR comments since you've posted over three thousand of them on this site alone.

Ironic, isn't it?

I just tried playing Alan Wake via the Xbox One backwards compatibility program on a professionally calibrated Samsung JU6500 TV.

The image was a bit dark (in a room lit by sunlight) but I saw no evidence of black crush.

The report that the game is unplayable seems inaccurate from my perspective.

Don't you get tired of being negative all of the time?

A quick glance at your comment history shows that your anti-MS rhetoric dominates the conversation. Seriously, you must be exhausted from all of this "outrage" and hate mongering.

Why don't you give yourself some time off? Take a break and quit commenting on something that you doesn't have relevance to your life.

"As a former theater actor". Oh boy...

Heavy Rain was on my radar long before it was released. I enjoyed Quantic Dreams prior game Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy but I felt that it suffered from a convoluted plot and poor voice acting. Despite my reservations, I rushed out and purchased Heavy Rain, along with a PS3, when it was released in 2010.

While the machinations of the story were engaging I found that the game suffered ...

Slavish0 did not indicate a specific level of participation required to be designated a PC gamer. The only measuring stick that he used to identify a PC gaming enthusiast was the amount of money spent on the system. He didn't specify any other trait...he simply said "When you put a lot of money in a PC you aren't a console gamer period."

I exceeded his designated amount by more than double. Therefore, under HIS interpretation, ...

I mentioned the car because it was the best analogy that I could think of in the moment. I couldn't care less about the internet's perception of my financial status.

Slavish0 claims that people who spend over $1000 on a PC do not game on consoles. This is simply not true. He is looking at the situation from a very narrow perspective...one that is based on the principles of exclusivity and economics.

The PC that I own is ...
