If I didn't use our Sony Card earlier in the year to get my fat PS3 for $250 ($150 credit back) I would definitely hop on this deal.
I'm sorry that you and the four morons who agreed with you aren't clever enough to understand my post.
...we can call them Antivision!
I thought the fire in Dead Space was pretty nice looking.
Worst fire I've seen in a while is Left 4 Dead. Holy sh*t that game has some of the ugliest fire I've seen in a long time. It looks like it should be on Genesis or SNES.
Bubbles to both of you!
This looks f*cking FUN. Day one buy for me.
To PS3 owners: I hope this comes to PS3. I don't care about exclusivity, I care about playing games that are fun, and this looks fun and should be something everyone can play, no matter the console they have.
Keep tabs on me. I don't post a whole lot around here. The fanboyism is too rampant.
People all over N4G hate on Halo ALL the time.
I played Uncharted at a friend's house, and just couldn't get into it.
I downloaded the demo, and still felt the same way. I guess I'm not into solving the puzzles and the like, not my cup 'o tea.
You're right, fanboys do say that about XBL vs PSN. I have both, and I don't mind paying for XBL to be honest.
Halo 3 is also two years old, so something similar to Theater Mode SHOULD have more features. I just don't like how fanboys are making this out to be a revolutionary thing for gaming and saying "OMGZ TEH NAUGHTY GODS!!!!" Are they a great developer? It would seem so. I can't speak from experience, but to exaggerate what they're doing is ridiculous.
It does a little bit more than Halo 3's Theater Mode (two years old), and you guys are acting like this has never been done before and are always slagging off Halo.
The water in Halo 3 is awesome. Go play it and crouch, you have underwater effects. Compare that Gears of War, and it's just a flat layer with no dimension.
Get in a Warthog and shoot across the water and tell me it doesn't look awesome.
Throw a grenade in the water, and listen to the explosion.
Throw a grenade in the water, then crouch down and listen to the water.
Halo's water has quite a few dimensions to it.
I'm not saying i...
I was thinking the same thing.
I didn't even know you could get a Guinness World Record based on OPINION. Usually it's accomplishing something physical in nature, or performing something better than anyone else, this gets a world record because...people have high opinions of it?
Give me a freakin' break. I'm sure it's a good game, maybe even great, but it doesn't deserve a damn world record.
You play with your poo?
The sexier fat PS3 for about $240...which is what I paid in January this year!
I have 360 and PS3 and I love having both. My 360 definitely gets more playtime, but I do enjoy the few games I've played on my PS3 and I love the Blu-Rays we've bought.
...anyone who goes on and on and on about the resolution in Halo 3, would notice the difference had it not been pointed out to them.
In fact, I still don't notice the difference. There's a couple scenes where there's some jaggies, but I couldn't care less. Halo 3 is a freakin' blast.
Feature for feature, Halo 3 offers the most out of any game this gen. It has the best developer support, the biggest community because of the developer support and the best stat tracking...
...and I bought inFamous at $60, played through it twice and had a blast playing it both times.
I bought Prototype used at GameStop for 360, using a 20% off coupon, and a $25 giftcard (taking surveys online), beat it once, started a second game for some achievements, and then sold it to a buddy at work. It was a solid game and had an interesting story, but the gameplay and enemies were so cheap sometimes. It felt like they crammed way too many moves and powers in, and I didn't ev...
For anyone who disagrees, please name me one dev that is as close with their community as Bungie and has a site like bungie.net that tracks as many stats.
F*CKING awesome.
If anyone wants to know why Halo is so popular, it's because of stuff like this.
Bungie gives updates every Friday to the community. They interact with the Halo community on a regular basis. Stat tracking for Halo 3 is absolutely unreal.
bungie.net is probably the best dev site there is.
This price drop has probably been planned for a while now. I know at my job, we get a box of ads several weeks before the sale starts. Walmart probably has had these ads before GamesCon.
I very seriously doubt that MS made a snap decision to drop the price once the PS3 Slim + price drop was announced. Obviously it was rumored for a while, and they probably had an idea when it would take place, so they've been planning this in accordance.
I don't really think the Xbox...
...that looking at the title, I thought this was gonna be a HipHopGamer article?
I think both consoles have fantastic lineups. it seems that there will be at least a few games for everyone. I know I'll be broke the end of this year and the beginning of next year.
