IF x1x started selling more units than Pro GOING FORWARD, and PS5 wasn x86 based and therefore had BC with ps4. What would happen then?

I think ms innovation has contributed to there sales current gen. if they had focused on the core console instead of integrated Kinect into the package, they might have stood a chance. who knows what they could have shaved off the price without Kinect.

I agree. I bought the original xbox and had a choice between that or the more established ps2. I based my choice on the available power and wasn't disappointed. Sure I missed out on some exclusives, but didn't bother me at the time.

I think it might outsell the pro. a lot of og ps4 users aren't upgrading sue to the smaller difference in power. Xbox uses may well feel more inclined as og xbox was the weakest at launch.
Also with xmas coming, 99% of joe public newcomers will simply want the most powerful box to play fifa/cod on and wont care for console exclusives. How many of the above games will even be released by xmas?
i agree. I think xbox sales will get a hell of a boost, the main reason behind that is I think the amount of people who upgrade from xbone to 1x will be a lot higher than ps4>pro. But overall I cant see it overtaking

dead right. pro is 480 level, x1x is 1070/980ti level as fair as I'm aware
theres not really much to get wrong compatibility wise these days. Each processor family has an associated motherboard family. You cant mix and match. And apart from not trying to use ddr4 ram in a ddr3 slot, there's not much else to it really
I'm a pc gamer and sorry but the x1x has more power that a 1060. Your looking at 1070/980ti levels when you take into account a console higher effiency over pc

Not sure I agree with using a 570. I was under the impression that the x1x was 1070 level which puts its way above a 570. In fact a 570 is Pro level isn't it?
At what they are paying for a 570, you can get a refurb 980ti on ebay which will give it way more power and match a real x1x
Also there are plenty of haswell cpu's mb's to be had for cheaper than the rysen options, gor for that and the rams half the price too....

Ive got to say it is a bargain hardware wise. Its where consoles should come into the market. In a years time the pc will have overtaken it again and I'm sure an NVidia 1150 wil be more than up to the job, but until then your going to struggle building a pc with the same power
