Agree with most of that except for the i5, cant see you doing an i5 equivalent and a gpu of that power at that price point. My guess is some sort of zen/vega apu
If the PC version turns out to be crap, people wont buy it simple as that. Ubisoft know that so probably a good idea for them to optimise it properly

Maybe so. Problem is a lot of console gamers are kids so you see a lot of sh1te being posted on both sides.
PS boys taking the piss about no exclusives, xbox boys quoting sales figures saying exclusives aren't always mainstream and bragging about x1x horsepower.

To be honest, and this really isn't trolling, I'm being serious and straight faced here, but if the PS boys stopped going on about how exclusives make/break a console then you wouldn't see comments like this from the xbox boys. They are simply responding to a point which is quite frankly rammed down their throats constantly.
And if (and I don't know whether it is or not) the 4% figure is true, then maybe they have a point no?

and within a year of the ps5 launch, ms launch their next gen console. If they trump the ps5 on hardware again, I can see them gaining ground

exactly, something a lot of people fail to grasp. my z87 board and 4670k at 4ghz will be on their 3rd gpu soon/ 750ti>970>1080ti/volta
the mainboard, cpu and ram will easily have lasted 7-8 years before I get a new board. I might upgrade the cpu to a 4770k if I need more threads in the future, but no need right now. If I do by the time I sell the old one, the new one will cost way less than £100
As a pc gamer I also agree. This is like the good old days when it takes a year or so for PC to get competitive with a new console cost wise.
This is how it should be. It will push developers along and they will be less gimped when developing multi plat titles for lower spec consoles as the quality baseline gets higher and higher and more will be expected from them.
I doubt it but it would be nice if it forced price drops in GPUs, but that's wishful...
