You mean you aren't one of the many old-school, hardcore turn-based, isometric RPG Fallout fanboys that are constantly complaining and moaning about how Bethesda is bastardizing their precious baby? Judging by your avatar, I thought you would be.
Obviously, just movies.
Actually, if each frame were played twice, that would be 12 fps.
Isn't it just absolutely fabulous for (hardcore) gamers that we have such massively mainstream, successful, arrogant companies such as Nintendo threatening to detract from the focus on technological advancement in the videogame industry? With Wii so successful, we may very well see Sony and Microsoft rein in the specs of their next systems in effort to drop launch prices and cater to the stupid low-cost, casual, non-gamer audience.
This is how Wii is affecting the videogame indus...
I actually rather liked the abundance of random QTE scattered through the demo. They upped the level of tension because it was you had to be alert at all times and react quickly.
Actually, this game has generally been getting pretty positive reviews. Gamespy game it a 4/5, and IGN a 7.5. TeamXbox gave it an 8.1. So this 8/10 by Gamespot isn't really out of place with the rest of the pack.
I'm not gonna endure what I think is crappy music just to admire someone's virtuosity with a particular instrument.
Yahoo didn't want to get bought out, and took measures to prevent the buyout from occurring? This is shocking news to me.
Well, considering Pixar films run at 24 fps, that's plenty! ;)
A top-down isometric perspective is NO LONGER a viable camera type in today's next-gen games market. That was a camera that was dictated by the limitations imposed by low-speed hardware at the time. Just because Bethesda is switching to a more acceptable, palatable perspective type, it's a perfectly reasonable decision/change for them to make, and it shouldn't be considered "butchering" the franchise. It simply isn't viable to make a AAA, blockbuster game in this day and age that us...
Is it just me, or is it only people who don't own HDTVs that say resolution doesn't matter? Games like Haze, or NG2, which have resolutions of ~580p are just excessively low in this category, and as an HDTV owner who was expecting high-def games this generation, I'm extremely disappointed by all these games that are essentially running at non-HD resolutions.
Yeah, that is Far Cry 2.

Why is a Far Cry 2 image posted for this news story?
Thus far, I've been pretty disappointed with the 3rd party developer usage of the PS3. Considering that this was supposed to be a superior-performing system, I'm not reassured by accounts such as this that state that they somehow "managed" to get it looking close to the XB360 version. That's not what I bought a PS3 for, really. When I bought it, I was expecting superior versions, or at least perfectly equivalent ports... not "close to the 360 version," but when you scrutin...
You know what, I don't respect those who gang up on someone just for having a dissenting opinion. He has his own views and is perfectly free to express them. Let's have an open mind and actually give his words some consideration, or just agree to disagree and move the hell on. Instead of bickering like a bunch of children.
Kinda funny how this guy instantly gets 10 disagrees just for admiring his XB360.
Can we please stop the talk about doing the nasty with digital videogame characters, already?
I see what you're saying, man. This is more actiony and less horror than previous iterations and other survival horror games. I'm looking more forward to the new Silent Hill for this reason, because it's just a much spookier, scarier game in my opinion.
Think Alone in the Dark, circa 1990 on the PC, versus Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark, the Hollywood action movie.
He's never even worked on the PS3, how would he be able to tell if it's more or less powerful?
MK_Red, as a fan of the Fallout series, in what ways do you think Fallout 3 will be watered-down or detrimentally altered compared to the originals? And how many of these supposed changes are known for sure, considering there haven't been that many concrete details released regarding Fallout 3's gameplay in the first place?
