Resistance is a launch game that was released about 7 months ago. Will Halo 3 look better than it? I sure hope so...
That said, the quality on those pictures for Resistance is awful. The game definitely looks better than that, but not better than Halo 3. We can leave that up to Haze and Killzone 2.
Double, sorry.
The quality is awful, but it's easy to see that this game will be a great one. Looking forward to seeing a higher quality video.
Possible spoilers:
I think nectar gives the soldiers a sense of fantasy. They don't see the horrors of war around them which allows them to better do their job. Later in the game, the main character discovers this and I'm guessing rebels against the Mantel company.
A whole lot of those games will not be coming out in 2007.
Also, they listed Half-Life 2 as five games. lol
No doubt the 360 will be getting some great games though. It's a great time for gamers period.
Well if you're not a fan of the Timesplitters series or Goldeneye 007 then I guess you have reason to be skeptical. I, along with the other 99% of gamers, will keep looking forward to Haze though.
Well the game is scheduled for September, and by then there will be quite a few great PS3 games (and PS3 owners). However, none of them are FPS...or even online games at all. Haze would have that market to itself on PS3. The only other PS3 shooter scheduled for 2007 that has potential to be good is Killzone. Not only will it be released later, no one knows exactly what to expect from it. Where we stand now, Haze would definitely find a lot of buyers on the PS3.
If Killzone is r...
I think Haze is definitely one that you're not going to want to pass up.
Great comment. All valid points, and I got the same impression from PSM.
360 owners won't be missing another FPS, but PS3 owners could get a great one since this is from Free-Radical.
Haze looks like a great game. It could turn out to be a big exclusive title if this is true.
I agree that this article is just misleading. This is no way to find a concrete number.
I do, however, believe that the 360 is terribly unreliable. Sorry. :(
Someone does not understand the concept of surveys...
But yeah, I don't trust Internet polls.
I really doubt it's 61%, but I don't doubt that it's much higher than what Microsoft leads everyone to believe. It can't be too far from 30-40%.
Wow.
Apparently Ubisoft is too scared to spend time/money on digging into the Cell. I guess that's understandable, and I won't blame them for it. I doubt their game will be any good though.
Have it in Louisiana.
Yes, because world events should be portrayed by game developers.
I hate every entertainer who tries to push their agenda while they assume that by doing so they're enlightening the "ignorant masses." Just make a fun game. I'm paying to play a video game not learn your opinion on world events.
I've been looking forward to Haze too, that's disappointing.
If true, I'd be very glad to see a developer taking advantage of the PS3 while still keeping a game multi-platform. I could care less if every PS3 exclusive went multi-platform, I just don't want the game to be watered down to allow it ala Grand Theft Auto IV. With the current multi-platform trend, I'm very glad to see this. Just looks like a rumor to me though.
Does anyone actually doubt that Microsoft will come out with something similar to Home? They'll downplay it until it comes out, trash it while it's going, and then copy it a few months later.
I mean, you can't really blame companies for copying. I would be pissed as a 360 owner if Microsoft could pull off something similar to Home but didn't because they wanted to be more creative. I just can't stand how hypocritical Microsoft has been concerning the PS3 so far.
I think the fact that Halo 3 is underwhelming is obvious to anyone who isn't a big Halo fan. Thing is, there are a lot of big Halo fans. You could have probably said the same thing about SOCOM II after SOCOM I, but I definitely played SOCOM II for about three years and enjoyed every moment.
Point is, it's Halo. They didn't really push the envelope at all with its next-gen introduction, but I guess they don't really have to either. Also, if they had, maybe the game wouldn't be a...
