Gotta admit, even with Uncharted being one of my favorite franchises in this generation of gaming, this Tomb Raider reboot looks stunning. You can tell Crystal Dynamics changed the direction of the game from last E3 though, seems a lot darker now with a more mature atmosphere, which is great in my eyes. People need to understand both Uncharted and Tomb Raider can't co-exist though, each series will only push one another forward IF this new TR reboot is as good as advertised.
I consider myself one of the biggest Resident Evil fans out there, but I totally agree. The way Capcom has treated their fan base this generation is nothing short of disheartening.
If it's Yakuza 5, count me in. Absolutely loved Yakuza 3 and 4.
Of course a multiple account troll who's out to smear Sony would agree with this article. Look, I get it, not everyone is a fan of Uncharted, and that's fine. Maybe Uncharted 3 didn't quite live up to the greatness that was Uncharted 2, but to say UC3 was "way overrated" is nowhere close to being a fair assessment of the game.
Sony's quality first-party studios have them in great position moving forward into next generation. If they keep their focus on making quality first-party titles instead of seemingly solely catering to the millions of casual gamers out there, their future consoles and games will always have a place in my home.
Really? Last I checked Resident Evil 5 sold more on Play Station 3. Guess "always" isn't a "fact" in this scenario, but then again, immature fanboys only see what they want to see and proclaim it the absolute truth.
Yakuza 3 and 4 have my vote. Any Shenmue fans out there, this is probably the closest thing you'll ever get to it from SEGA. The series provides hundreds of hours of fun, beat 'em up gameplay along with a very deep story. Any JRPG fan should NOT miss out on these two underappreciated gems.
I know, right? I didn't think there would be any way Naughty Dog could top Uncharted 2, but from that six and a half minute demo, it looks like they're well on their way! =D
It's a solid franchise, yeah. It's visceral gameplay is second to none, I think that's a huge reason why it's so well-received among gamers and critics alike. If gamers demand more, why halt the franchise at three games? Of course there will be more to follow.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors, ah, this game brings back memories. Definitely one of my favorite games on the SNES and truly the first great zombie game I ever played. Seemed like it was a simpler time back in 1993, where games were all about FUN instead of graphics, frame rate or pixel count. Good read!
Here's an idea, go into a thread of a game you're actually interested in instead of trolling this one then.
Gary Motherf*cking Oak has been there and done that.
I'm pretty sure Gametrailers.com will be livestreaming all three conferences. You can always search Justin.tv for one as well if all else fails.
Gears 3 will be a great game but it's not going to win Game of the Year with that train wreck Epic calls a "story." Not to mention, sales never guarantee quality, so stop using that stupid argument.
Nope, I started gaming on the Atari 2600, nice assumption, though. And I agree the SP portion of games are very important, and you'll never see me knock a game if it doesn't have multi-player. BUT, for a game like Killzone 3, or any other online multi-player shooter, MP is every bit as important as the SP, IMO.
"What it seems is that he is not a MP player!Contrary to some! Not everybody is entitle to like the MP aspect of games!"
Then you don't REVIEW an FPS where the online component is a critical part of the game's overall package. Put it this way, how do you think any Call of Duty game would be rated if all reviewers just reviewed it for its SP only, and reviewed the multi-player as an afterthought?
And to further counter your argument, yes, peo...
"Also, it's been confirmed that the title looks better in PS3 than in 360."
~ My money is waiting. Thank you, BioWare, for taking advantage of the PS3 and including all the DLC on the disc as well. Can't wait to play both ME2 and ME3 this year, 2011 is looking like the best year ever to be a GAMER!
A miracle.
I agree, unnecessary hate for an awesome looking game. Although it may not be a "true" Metal Gear game or have Hideo Kojima completely behind it, it still looks like it will be a lot of fun to play. And after all, isn't that why we all play games?
Agreed. Bar none Platinum Games know action, and in that regard Rising could be amongst the best in the business as far as fast, frantic-paced hack n' slash action goes. Definitely strays from the Metal Gear path but that certainly doesn't mean it can't be a good game for what it is.
