In narrative, absolutely. Gears has the cast of characters to work with, but pales in comparison to the overarching story in Halo. Gameplay wise, they both have their own identities and I don't think that needs to be tinkered with. Gears has a proven fast-paced, edge of your seat formula to build on in MP. If anything, the MP in Halo needs to go back to the Halo 2 era. Sometimes less is more.
You're right, maybe the Halo remaster claim was baseless. I'll man up and apologize for that, but there's plenty of evidence in your comments of you aimlessly bashing anything Sony related, constantly. That explains the deplorable 360-exclusive lineup for 2013. Seriously, in all my years of gaming I've never seen an exclusive lineup of games this terrible. Certainly the Xbox One has some games worth getting excited over at launch, but what about the people who won't upgrade for two or three more years? They're completely left out in the cold.
SKU: Stock Keeping Unit. Multiple SKU's only leads to better flexibility for the consumer, so I'm sure Sony will be onboard with this.
Looking at your profile, I'm going to assume you're a single console owner. If that is indeed the case, then your question is very short-sighted. Naughty Dog doesn't make "run of the mill" games, and had you played any of them from this generation alone, you would understand that. Their combination of story telling, graphics and gameplay have been second to none this gen, so what you "heard" obviously wasn't correct.

Indeed it is, there will still be plenty for Sony to reveal at E3, so people shouldn't hit the panic button just yet. What's Santa Monica working on for PS4? Or Naughty Dog? SCE Japan? Quantic Dream? Or how about Polyphony Digital? There's still a lot to look forward to in the coming months.

Had a feeling RE6 would go down a similar path that RE5 did. Doesn't mean it will be a bad game, but once again not a true Resident Evil. Action Evil 6 confirmed.
