Yes, Xbox LIVE is a better service. Thing is, as I've played on both extensively, it's not a "leaps and bounds" better that people on this site lead you to believe. The margin is NOT that big, there's only a few key features missing on PSN separating the two services. It's certainly not fifty-dollars a year better, IMO.
Epic. In the end, there will only be chaos!
Hmmm, interesting. As much as I liked Ezio and the setting of Assassin's Creed 2, I for sure would have thought that Ubisoft would move on to another character. That, or at least allocate the newly honed Desmond to a modern day assassination mission (completely outside of the Animus). Either way, here's hoping AC3 is as awesome as AC2 was!
Definitely single player first, most likely on Hardened or Veteran difficulty to start. It provides a challenging experience for the campaign and allows you to better accustom yourself to the weapons before jumping into the multiplayer arena. Not to mention, a single player game with the high production values of Infinity Ward should not be ignored.
Lucky for that year head start, eh bot? PS3 is doing just fine.
Alan Wait and Splinter Cell say hello. Sure Forza's a good game, but definitive? We'll see, GT5 is shaping up to be every bit as good if not better.
Watched the whole review and overall I thought it was pretty fair, their gripes were a bit spotty, though. In no way, shape or form is a 9.3/10 a bad score, so I see no reason for anybody to be upset about this. All these great scores Uncharted 2 keeps getting only cements what an awesome game it will be. It will easily contend for, if not win, many Game of the Year 2009 awards.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is clearly the superior game. Don't expect a hit from me, Destructoid.
And I lol'd at ODST's Metacritic score. Just goes to show you, people will buy anything with the name "Halo" slapped on it.
Wicked, thanks man. I didn't realize it was actually gonna make it over here. Bubbles to you for the info. And I agree, Squirrel. Hopefully people out here show enough interest in the game and give SEGA the heads-up to localize 4 and Kenzan as well.
This game just looks better and better the more I see of it. Can't wait until October 13th rolls around, I'll be playing one of the best games of the year on any system out there. I wish all PlayStation 3 devs were as talented as Naughty Dog.
That's awesome news for fans of the series in the Far East. Too bad we'll probably never see a localized version of Yakuza 3 here in the West, damn you SEGA. =/
Were you expecting any less of arguably the best PS3 in-house developers out there?
If this is the case, this will not end well...for EA.
The graphics look amazing at this point, can't wait to see how the final product turns out in early 2010. Day one buy for me, this kind of story-driven game is a breath of fresh air in an already stagnant market of shooters and fighting games.
I disagree, Killzone 2 may not be the best FPS of all-time, but it sure as hell is one of the best this gen. Triple-A game all the way in my book, deserves nothing less than a 9. I finally gave the online play the fair chance it deserved, and I can't stop playing it. It's neck and neck with CoD4 for the top multiplayer game on the PlayStation 3, IMO.
Looks like a pretty slick downloadable side-scroller. I also noticed Nolan North is voicing the main character. Man, he's certainly had no problems finding work recently, a few off of the top of my head; Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, Halo Wars, MGS4, Fable 2, Lost Planet, Prince of Persia, Uncharted 2 and now Shadow Complex. Very talented voice actor.
Seriously, why is this tosser still allowed to comment in the Gamer Zone when he brings nothing but flamebait, inflammatory remarks in every one of his comments? Keep that sh*t in the Open Zone.
I second that, the only other game I may be anticipating more at this point is God of War 3 and that's still a long ways off.
Wow, talk about photo-realistic, good Lord.. Dare I say, definitive?
