No worries! I was just joking about :) but yes, they are!
And almost instantly this is turned into a debate about the Xbox One's resolution rather than the issue at hand here which is should you, or shouldn't you install the day one patch...
personally I'd take smoother overall gameplay at the sacrifice of choppy pre-rendered cut scenes. It's a shame we can't have both though!
So you'll be supporting the enemy?.... interesting!
Yeah, I am starting to feel like having the reviews a week before was actually more of a curse!! haha
I'd hate to be your bank account right about now!
Damn! That looks great, I'll definitely take a few hits in some settings to get Hairworks running!
I do recall hearing that during the previews they were using machines running 980's and Hairworks really knocked the FPS, everything else was on uber - but I don't think the 980 will cakewalk uber+Hairworks.
Only a few days now guys and gals!
Oh is that what GameWorks is? I also have the 970 so I will probably do what you are planning too.
I don't usually condone CGI trailers, I take that back entirely now!
It's a 12GB GPU, it might struggle at 4K but I don't think it'll break a sweat at 2k! I know the test machines were running ultra 1080p on a single GTX 980.
I also think The Witcher 3 might make use of the hyper-threading on the i7's giving it slightly more edge over the i5's. Either way, it's a ridiculously priced build!
I'm fairly sure that rig will run it at 60FPS on 2k, but that's a VERY expensive build, around £3,300 based on a quick search - yikes!
Yeah, I wouldn't really call that an achievable guide! If you have a ton of excess money, go for it. But that guide doesn't really help anyone who may be considering building a PC on a budget, even a high budget! I've spent around £800 recently upgrading my computer and it still doesn't come close to that...
Shallow and pointless are two words I wouldn't expect anyone to use for either of these games, they are both brilliant in their own rights.
They share a lot of common traits, I wouldn't say he was wrong to compare them, they each have:
A massive open world, set in a medieval/fantasy theme.
The main protagonist uses swords, crossbows and magic.
You can harvest plants and reagents to make potions and poisons.
A long main story quest with many branching side quests.
Hundreds of caves, dungeons and locations to discover.
A robust levelling system, with different areas you c...
Agreed, this year is shaping up a lot better than last!
..anddd breathe.
Great job guys!
I am SO glad I upgraded my PC for this game, it looks amazing on both the PS4 and the Xbox One but it will be really great to see it at it's best (or close too... depending how it runs!)
Is it possible that this was recorded some time back? When perhaps CDPR weren't happy with their xbox build, Microsoft have obviously paid for the advertising rights - and they had to go ahead with filming so used a PC build with a Microsoft controller?
I don't really condone this marketting as it is is false advertising, but maybe there was more at work - who knows!
Edit: Okay, watched the full video, they never actually say it was being played on X...
Dying Light was the spiritual successor to Dead Island/Riptide anyway!
looks like a window to me..
I'm not denying that the 1080p comments aren't related. I just find it rather sad that 90% of the comments are just bashing the resolution debate once more!
