@Adrian
You are right, this isn't a remaster (which truthfully, is what a lot of people wanted) it's a remake. But calling the people who want it to be more like a remaster mentally challenged is probably taking it a bit too far...
I am open to change, and I am very excited to see what they do with this. However it's been 10 years of waiting for a lot of people (myself included - though I had pretty much written it off) and if they stray too far o...
I will still buy it if it's an action RPG, but part of what made FF7 so unique was the materia system, it was so simple to pick up but also offered a lot of complex options if you chose to invest more time into it. It is crucial that they keep this as intact as they can, Star Ocean 3 did have a great combat system, it was action-turn based and that's what they need to aim for I think.
Converting to story/areas/characters to living 3D models will take time but I am not...
The sad truth is that they won't just do this "for the fans" if they did it would sell like hot cakes to the old school players but it wouldn't really attract any new ones. Turn based combat is a dying breed now. The problem is if they go too heavy on trying to pull in a new audience, they may end up losing old followers and that would completely contradict the entire announcement!
Either way, I'm very excited to see this unfold, I'm just a bit appr...
I love and hate this! There's little to no chance of two groups meeting in the dark zone and not immediately killing each other haha - still can't wait to try the beta though!
I actually meant the game as a whole looks fantastic, I couldn't see many graphical issues - the game looks very polished.
I am sure I've read that it's a 100+ hour game, ridiculous!
This looks fantastic!
I was fairly sure it was coming first to Playstation 4!
The price is indeed a hefty pill to swallow, too hefty for me.
Even for a competitive level controller the price is still incredibly steep!
Bound to get a ton of disagrees for that, but I agree - to a degree!
I've never been so excited for a game that doesn't quite seem to be a game! From a sandbox point of view I could see things getting stale after several hours of finding planets etc, it depends what there is to do on these planets.
Will there be a quest system, side activities etc. He said they have trading, do we trade materials? what are these materials for? Crafting ships? structur...
Some devs will no doubt be greedy, but most should see it as another line for revenue! Their older 360 games can now be purchased and played on the Xbox One, why would they not bite!
Also Sony would never follow suit now, it would completely go against PS Now.
PS4 won for the future, greatness awaits and all! Xbox One won for the present!
I am aware, Bloodborne was fantastic!
Sony doesn't really have a huge selection of first party exclusives dropping this holiday though, Microsoft were really locking down 2015. They have a few games for next year (Crackdown, Quantum Break, Gears) but as we have seen at this E3 next year is shaping up to massive for PS4!
Tough one for me! For sheer out of the blue announcements it has to go to SONY, wow - FF7 and Shenmue 3..
However, for games that actually excite me for the near future, MS has to get it hands down! They were really pushing the 2015 boat which I liked.
FF7 and Shenmue 3 are both amazing reveals, but the latter has ETA of December 2017 and we don't know much else about FF7. We know it's a remake and not a remaster which could go either way really!
I want it to be Hardline (as I already own DAI) but I feel like it will be Dragon Age too. Still, awesome to have another none-sport game added to the vault!
As @Eonjay said, this whole EA in bed with Microsoft is a bit over the top, EA aren't giving MS preferential treatment over SONY with regards to early access. Microsoft accepted the deal for EA Access, whereas SONY didn't. As I am aware they both got offered it, however SONY didn't feel it fit their brand.
The reason Hardline/Battlefront are getting promotional EA videos is because SONY has most likely paid them for the rights, if anything SONY are in bed with EA,...
Well, it's used badly here because The Witcher 3 didn't actually come on out last gen! Unless the author considers the PC version last gen.. either way, good news on the patch!
It seems like we just love to complain, rather than just enjoy what we have been given. It's also much easier to see the bad rather than the good.
Was more of a hunting rifle guy myself ;) more reliable!
"It’s no secret that a lot of Fallout fans were a bit disappointed with the visuals of Fallout 4"
Urgh, please tell me that's not true! I just want to get back to the wasteland!
True true!
However the one group they really should try and please are the people who have been waiting for this for 10 years!
I don't think Final Fantasy games really pull in many new players now, that is why many of the FF13 games didn't do very well - they were trying to target a new audience, but all they ended up doing was turning off their true fans.
FFXV is shaping up to be a very good game, god knows we need a great Final Fan...
