The problem is they are making a remake for the fans but directing it at the mass audience. From a business point of view of course it makes sense but we were led to believe this was made for the true fans who had been asking for a remake for years.
What may end up happening is that by diluting it so much it just ends up being another sub-par SE game that doesn't really appeal to fans or the general public!
They should try and hire that Kojima bloke's new studio, I hear they're quite good at making MGS games...
Go away steam sale, I can't afford you!
Come on Anonymous, I know you are busy hacking IS etc, but just get a few guys to shut these idiots down!
Yeah your post hit the nail on the head and is the only way I think it'll work. If they just turn it into a linear run through the story without the exploration it would be a huge shame. Not to say that wouldn't be great for newcomers but it would be an insult to all of their fans who have patiently (kind of..) waited for so long.
I am sure the action combat will be good, and I can see why a lot of people welcome that change. It's just for me personally I would ha...
Absolutely! They have just left it in the open now, so all we have is speculation and I can understand why most of it is negative too.
What I don't really understand is they moved away from turn based to evolve the game but now it just looks like re-skinned FF15 combat. From what I hear this is a good thing but it still kind of kills some of the excitement. Ironically if they'd tried to enhance the original combat that would have actually been more original as most ga...
As a huge Final Fantasy fan (well up until 13...) I was pretty shocked by this decision, initially I felt like it was a signed death-wish but it depends how they accomplish it. I really wish more information was given considering this is such a drastic change.
A few things must remain for me, personally:
The world map - vehicles included and the ability to travel around them as much as you could in the initial game (as some areas were still unavailable as you...
Alpha level cap perhaps? Although the half bit sounds unusual!
Can't wait to get home and try this! Hope people waiting get their codes.
Wait, Scottish people can't be black?
Damn them for trying to increase profits, they should fire their sales team for trying to do these stunts!
Any game with a built in chat feature could theoretically be used to radicalise the younger audience...
It could read "Club Penguin players could be involved in paris attack" and be just as (in)accurate!
Oh, it came alright!
Running this on an i7 4790k and a GTX970 @ 2k, everything maxed out except the godrays and I'm getting an average of 50-55 fps. Looks great too!
No, when I am at work I check reviews and wonder why some sites are so up and down with their scoring system.
Different reviewers are entitled to their own opinions but I get frustrated with scores like these:
Fallout 3: 9/10
Fallout new Vegas: 9/10
"I can safely place it somewhere in the middle of Fallout 3 and New Vegas in terms of quality"
Fallout 4: 7.5/10
The previous games were bug ridden too but praised in their closing comments that it didn't matter, whereas Fallout 4 took it in the neck a bit for it'...
I'll save you watching the video, hit rank 34 for Primary gunfighter 1,2 and 3.
Most of these comments seem to relate to review embargos - what this article is actually about is an embargo on critics announcing when the review embargo lifted! haha
I guess I am biased, but I have put hundreds of hours into:
Morrowind
Oblivion
Fallout 3
Skyrim
And they have all been amazing games so It's fairly safe to say that Fallout 4 will follow suit.
You might not like the games, but the reviews will be honest!
...and another 20 or so games that you'll probably never play?
