That's a 3/4, solid score!
Flower too, that game just makes me feel happy - something so many games fail to achieve now a days!
Wholeheartedly agree, Destiny being a great example of a game that is brought up many a time regarding value for money. It was an incredibly addictive formula, but thinking back to it there wasn't a single moment that I felt blown away nor have I got any fond memories of it, it was just there at the right time.
Games like Bio Shock, and Bio Shock infinite (which to be fair probably both had a solid 10-20 hour play-through) left a much bigger imprint on me for 1/3 of the t...
It's a shame, personally I used to love his diaries talking about Fable, although I was well aware that 60% of what he said would never make it to production. I just liked this enthusiasm!
He looks like a broken man now, all he needs to do is use his enthusiasm to talk about features that are actually built!
This type of DLC is awful, what happened to EARNING things like character and weapon skins, that way you can show them off - rather than just show off how much money you are willing to spend...
However I disagree that online only games are harming the industry, look at CS:Go for example. When online only competitive games are done right they can be fantastic. The main problem we are having this generation is massive server instabilities.
@RG_Dubz - cheers for that info!
In name alone though really, will still be cool to see what Yager do with it. I loved Dead Island and I am loving Dying Light but they both have their flaws!
And for the disagree: http://www.yager.de/project...
Interesting if true!
Also, isn't Dying Light technically more of a sequel to Dead island than this? Dead Island 2 is being developed by Yager
Amen brotha! Either that or the Dreamcast!
@Bathyj - That exactly, I am fairly sure this was either a distribution blunder or a production blunder. Either way it certainly wasn't a ploy to make us buy digital.
It's unfortunate, I actually bought it digital but I know a bunch of friends who didn't want to (as they work in game retail stores) and now will also probably skip it because it falls at a much busier time. What I would have loved to see was a slightly cheaper digital price, to tempt retail buyers b...
I actually got around 10 hours out of Ground Zeroes, the people who complain it only lasted 15 minutes either didn't play it, or rushed it and skipped everything, including the way you're meant to play it, take your time and use stealth.
The actual "story" part of this took me around 2 hours, which admittedly (if you were only buying it for this) is a little skimpy for the £20 launch price. The other missions usually take around 30 minutes - 2 hours dep...
@Mr Pumblechook - isn't it possible that they actually do feel humbled to get to work on this project?
I'm really excited to see what they do with Gears, and as Septic said I would love this to feel completely fresh!
You may not frequent here much but for the majority of last year the top stories were resolution debates or bias stories. You couldn't check N4G without having these issues right in front of you.
I'm not crying about anything, but we are the reason it has gotten so out of hand. Obviously game sites report and re-post what we as the community say, which only furthers the issue!
This is a problem that we as "fans" have created through all the back and forth bickering this generation. It's created a HUGE amount of attention towards the resolution/fps issues - something we didn't really see a great deal last gen.
We still had the usual graphical bickering between SONY and Microsoft fans but it was nowhere near the scale it's hit this time around.
Graphical parity causes one problem and cleanses another at the sam...
As awesome as this game looks, I'm still not convinced there is actually a game in it yet! Even the gameplay trailer just showed more of the same, granted - it looks amazing but I think they hype needs to drop or we may be disappointed!
Fly Tale Hombre
I agree with caseh, keep your PS3 and pick up the games you want to play on eBay! You then don't have to worry about any streaming issues and network issues (which honestly isn't the PS4's strongest card)
After the pretty abysmal year they had last year they really need to start delivering QUALITY games, rushing them out year on year isn't a good move. They should definitely send AC on hiatus for a while and I would rather they threw out a new IP (although going by Watchdogs I have little faith in that too...) I would love a new Splinter Cell, they usually nail it and aren't released too often.
I have a PS4 and an Xbox One, I'm pretty psyched for both!
I wish they would remove game embargoes, or at least have some condition in which they have to be removed 4 days prior to a release.
The amount of criticism these guys are getting for a game that hasn't even been reviewed (or at least revealed) is ridiculous.
We have a bunch of people who received early copies, blasting through it as quickly as they can and posting about how short it is. And all this controversy is spiraling up from that, the devs are in ...
