I think that's probably a good thing if anything. I enjoyed Starfield, but the more I played it the more I realised I was just using it to fill the elder scrolls sized void.
@lightning
People disagreeing with you but is there honestly anything we have played on this current gen which wasn't playable on last gen that wasn't down to just the faster SSD's? I don't think so.
Personally these under powered consoles are the reason why Devs don't take full advantage of my system, so I'm not the biggest fan at the minute, and the gap between high end GPU's and consoles is getting wider.
Oblivion and Skyrim were in the same console generation. Why not ES6? And there was a pretty big difference between the 2 visually.
When playing Starfield I actually caught myself thinking how a lot of the good things the game did would be incredible in a proper open world elder scrolls game.
Yeah but the story, characters, gunplay, side quests, the world. All were some top tier content. The problem was it was ruined by bugs and let's be honest, unreal expectations set by the Devs themselves.
I didn't think it was a bad game on launch, just a deeply flawed one, similar to how I feel about Starfield currently funnily enough (although that's from game design not bugs).
I say well done CDPR, hopefully they take the lessons learned here into Witcher 4. Cyberpunk was a solid 7 for me at launch. It's among the best RPG's I've ever played after the updates.
CDPR got their due, a few of their upper management were basically forced out.
Yes a bad game released is a terrible thing, but working their asses off to improve it and actually make a really good game should be commended. Most Devs would have took the money and run.
Some people will have specifically applied for and got this job for the remote working benefits, wether it be childcare/Location and travel costs. All these things need to come into consideration too.
I'm with you that post Covid Office workers are more privelged than ever, but then again if you're promising job perks and then taing them away, you have to be prepared for pissed off staff.
The thing is, I have a very similar set up for my staff, but the workplace have every right to call you into the office full time if needs be. But then they better be prepared to have people leaving and being unhappy if there was a promise that was broken.
Broken trust = Unhappy staff looking for other employmant.
Disgusting. You think it's the people who are working on the ground floor making these decisions?
I'm sure it's just bluster but there enough hate in the world, doesn't need adding to it because of a bad decision from a notriously greedy ass CEO.
If you want to direct your anger, focus on him in a productive way. The guy wanted to charge for reload of guns FFS. Start a petition, demonstrate outside his house. There's a place in the wo...
Exactly.. I have a PS5 and a PC for Sony Exclusives. If there's nothing coming to the platform I might as well sell the thing. They're not supporting VR2, they're talking about selling a Pro version with no software to support it. They seriously need a massive wake up call man and I'm glad to see some staunch Sony supporters saying the same things too now.
Square make bad decisions all the time. They have had wins with FF16, but honestly, Final Fantasy doesn't pull the kinda numbers that warrants a platform exclusive. After that on stage get together with Phil, don't be surprised if they go back to Multiplatform as it's not just Xbox, you've got a massive fan base on PC that you're just missing out on because Jim's giving you a few bucks.
Clearly it's not working, I loved FF16, as many people as po...
Third party releases?
Jesus Sony what is going on man, there next to fuck all coming out on your platform, it's bizarre.
No Xbox fan thinks it's a sim.. if you want a SIM you get get a PC and bad ass driving Rig.
Forza is a fun driving game, people who don't even like driving games like Forza. What's more important when it comes to games? Fun or realism? For me it's fun, realism has its place but gaming is all about the fun factor.
Yeah you're right, it's not like Forza has been the best reviewed and most played driving titles of the last 3 generations and potentially of all time..
Say what you want about Xbox's first party out put, but Forza games are best in class with pretty much every release.
Genuinely can't believe how much Sony fanboys are losing their minds over this? Is it a surprise that it's selling well? Bethesda make some of the best selling RPG series ever. Say what you want about the quality of the game itself, but it was always going to fly off the shelves. That's not including the people who bought early access through game pass, and new game pass subscribers either.
PC player here and the reason why most of us won't get the game on g...
People using a 25% inflation rate to justify a 600% increase, lol. Ponies man.
Imagine if Xbox hikes game pass by 600% in any country regardless, you same people would be in the comments screaming. Stop defending corporations like they are your friends, they want your money and that's it.
Class 😂
2 different games going for 2 different end results, just because a game is in space doesn't mean they have to be all alike. Why don't you compare Mass effect or Star wars battlefront while you're at it.
Good, people doing work should be paid, if Bethesda omit basic features like this and someone take advantage, good for them.
@Sephiroushin
The problem is with consoles because you're so limited by the hardware, Devs have to choose one of either visuals or performance (some get the balance right but that's getting more and more rare).
You can't play trailers so most Devs focus on visuals which is what sells, if people are buying hardware they want the better visuals to justify this.
In my opinion consoles need a gen where the visuals don't move...
