I'd have to disagree pal, at the time of release everyone was saying FF16 was their game of the year on the Sony side.

Exactly what I did, played it, beat it within like 60 hours, initially enjoyed it, and then replaying Cyberpunk made me realise how many elements of the game were below par.
Agree with the Starfield music and Halo community support, seen as though destiny 2 got nominated literally after firing half their staff seemingly, shit was backwards.

Well that's not my definition of average.. and the group consensus outside of N4G which is pretty much a playstation fan forum is that it's an above average game..

Its clearly not below average though is it? It's a 7/10 game which is above average to good. The problem is is that it wasn't the 10/10 that Xbox needed. It's still a good time for people that enjoy Bethesda titles and have a good PC, not sure about on Xbox as I don't have one.

Snubbed would imply it deserved to be in the Running in the first place, it does not? It's up for RPG which it won't win, the only category it could have won for me was Music, the soundtrack is amazing.
FF16 isn't up for Game of the year but no one's talking about that are they? Wish we would just accept this game was a solid 7 out of 10 and move on, most PC/Xbox gamers have played and moved on, while you guys who only play on Playstation are still breathing...

It's fine to criticize when valid but just throwing around baseless accusations makes you seem stupid. They didn't pump out this game due to the Xbox takeover, if anything Microsoft will defo abandon the yearly cycle in my opinion due to game pass and making the most out of each release.

Microsoft had 0 influence on this game.. don't spout nonsense, to see their influence negative or positive it'll probably take 2 - 3 years at least as many games are currently still on development and Xbox has 0 control over Activision until Kotick leaves next year.

Yeah I remember rumours of the abandonment of the yearly cycle and was actually quite excited about what that would mean for the series. Clearly the chickened out of that and pulled this game forward to fill the void.

Jedi survivor barely fucking ran even after updates. The performance in the game is unacceptable. I've heard it's better on console, but my PC runs Alan Wake 2 at 1440p max settings over 100fps with DlSS quality and frame gen.
Meanwhile on Jedi Survivor I sometimes get drops down into the low 40's with horrible traversal stutter, and that's trying to play on medium with no Ray Tracing. Absolute shambles and the publications that just gave it a pass for those...
