I thought for sure it was a translation issue.. Holy shit Nintendo you guys have bumped your heads. $70 controllers, a paid service that uses a phone app for chat..Im sure the service will restrict multiplayer to subscribers. Otherwise, people will just use something like Discord.
Switch does has specs to match it's price though. What other portable gaming device costs $300, and can play Zelda BOTW quality games? It's like some people are expecting them to match ps4, when that would cost over a grand at retail (only portable things doing that right now run an i7, and a 1050ti) I've even heard it should maybe do 4k. Like sure, Nintendo was supposed to shrink the internal hardware of the Asus Predator X21 magically, and sell it for $250..
That's not the point. TLOU Remastered still launched at $60. Just like this will. Except MK8 is actually adding in something (Battle Mode), while TLOUR, did not. It just improved visuals and performance. Which MK8 is also doing on Switch.
HA! Great point. People act like Nintendo is doing something new here. I didn't see nearly this much complaining about either of the titles you listed. Or any of the other remasters being sold at full price. Well maybe a few for Skyrim. Mostly from pc people who have had that game at it's best for years now, so the SE was completely pointless. I do believe it's over priced. But I'm not buying it a second time. I've thought the same about all the remasters though. Not conve...
Uhh, no. You ALWAYS pay for portability. In the real world, portable things with attached screens cost more. Have you looked to see what it takes to have ps4 power on the go? It's certainly not old tech. It requires a recently released 1050ti, with a just released Kaby Lake i7. Both within the past couple weeks. (1050ti has been around longer than that but not for laptops)
As long as you expected it to cost $1,000, then it's understandable you expected a portable machine with the same power as the ps4.
I didn't expect an ethernet port on the hand held itself. But did think there would be one on the dock. I'm sure the accessory won't cost much. No big deal at all really.
EFT is more of a maybe than a confirmation though. They said they would think about it after the full pc release.
For sure. To get that kind of portable performance one has to look at the upcoming 1050ti laptops. Which are about as powerful as the ps4 while having a screen attached, portability, etc.. Those start at $899. They are also a good bit larger than a Switch looks to be. Most sporting Kaby Lake i7's..Either people don't understand what it would take for the Switch to be on a ps4s level and portable, or they dont care and just want a more powerful home console. Which is understandable.
Anyone who thought Switch was going to be as powerful as a ps4/xb1, be portable, and have a decent battery life doesn't know how current technology works. Nintendo would need a new kind of battery that doesn't exist. I don't think they have developed their own proprietary battery for the Switch, that is better than every battery ever. At least, they haven't mentioned anything. We will find out next week...
The people in gaming forums and comment sections of articles are a little more involved than your average person. It's not hard to imagine they are the same people buying high end pc parts. As they are the people keeping up with information pertaining to their hobby. Though I'm sure some do exaggerate.
The steam survey is broken anyway. All my games are played at 1080p or 1440p, desk top resolution is 1080p. Yet the steam survey read it at 720p for some reason. Kind of shitty for the first time ever getting the survey on my gaming pc and not my pos laptop.
Your suggesting to read the post, not just the headline before reacting and writing paragraphs sounding like an obsessed child? A hahaha haha haha! This is n4g fool!
I wasn't joking. Its a fact. No one is refuting any bs in here. Just slinging their own. What's petty is how much of a reaction some of the folks here get about anything the other plastic box does or doesn't do. It's like a bunch of pissy 10 year olds around here.
It's fantastic advertising if anything. Millions watch those games. To have your brand right on the field certainly gets your name in people's faces.
Obviously pc is the place for mods, as that's been the only real source for them. But I've seen it stated many times that console only gamers don't play on pc. For various reasons, while some are bs, they are real reasons to some people, apparently. So mods being on console is the only way those people would get to use them. Allowing them with such a limited scope makes zero sense. Other devs won't even bother. Sony has the market share. So devs aren't going to put in...
As long as Horizon doesn't get delayed I'm good. Though that's not on Sony themselves, rather than the devs in that are making the game.
No one is talking about mods on ps4 because they suck ass thanks to Sony forcing Bethesda to gimp them in comparison to Xbox. It's like the EA subscription thing... I love my ps4 (probably gets 95%of my gaming time now), but I sure wish Playstation would stop deciding what they think I want or is best for me as a gamer. I wouldn't subscribe to EA whatever it's called..but options are always good. Them gimping mods was just asinine.
Any article with Xbox in it will trigger certain members of this community. There are 3 or 4 you can guarantee will respond. They have all commented already. One replied to you. lol
I know. Never said other wise. This article is about Nintendo and the Switch. I tend to try to stick to the subject at hand. Not one to bring up, for example, Microsoft in a Playstation article, and vice versa.
