I'd try but I don't have the time powers you have to go forward, play the game, and come back to let you know how it compares to other games.
I enjoy the hell out of my games, regardless of framerate. I could really care less about 4k.. But you folks should really stop pretending 60+fps is not a noticeable improvement over 30fps and stop pretending that something like Horizon wouldn't have just been even more amazing than it already is at 30fps. Yes it's a great game, the frame rate didn't bother me playing through it either. But it would have been even better than it already is at 30fps. Your just lying to yourself and...
Sure Sony doesn't NEED to do this. But there hasn't been a single good reason as to WHY they won't. Not needing to is not a good reason. If the opportunity is there and it's not going to hurt their business then there is no reason not to all this. Console sales are determined by exclusives. That has been repeated uncountable times here at n4g. This doesn't change any of that. So then it won't hurt them, only give players more people to play with. No negatives. This wo...
Same, and I'm thinking this might be my first go as well.
@INMATE I remember way back in the original xbox days even he thought the massive thing they released as a controller was too large and he preferred the smaller controller, according to an interview he was doing for something. I wish I remembered what so I could attempt to find it.
Other than maybe a reward for playing the first game, 0 that I know of. I have never once played a sequel where everything from the first game carried over.
If you listen to the Fireteam chat on IGN where this quote was pulled from, a dev next to Luke Smith tells why this is the case. The Pro wouldn't be doing 60fps @1080p either. Something about the physics, and the cpu can't keep up with the calculations..
It will outsell every successful exclusive, when those hit 2 million people claim massive success. This game will destroy all of those numbers on each individual platform, let alone the combined sales. It is already Bungies most preordered title ever. Those hoping for failure might as well pack up and leave because it's far too late for that already.
Bungie devs said the cpu is the bottleneck. The gpu can do 1080-4k no problem, but the cpu would not allow for 60fps even at 1080p. So they went with 4k 30, rather than 1080 30. Pro can't do 60fps with this game. It could be their engine or it could be that Jaguar cpus are trash. I will look on reddit for the post about the comment from Bungie.
edit: here is the article
You can tell many didn't even watch the reveal with the "no changes or improvements" comments. Larger patrol areas, change, new subclasses, change, new planets, change, improved lighting, change, improved textures, change, improved particle effects, change, new weapon types, change, dungeons, change, treasure maps, change, a map for patrols areas, change, new elemental weapon slot, change, 4 v 4 pvp with maps built for 4v4, change, Trials of the 9, change, pc version, massive c...
Yes you can jump into pvp at a low level and compete with low level guns..but it sounds like Destiny just isn't for you.
Neither of those games made massive game changing improvements from 1 to 2. They were for the most part the same games with new missions, maybe a new mechanic or two, and a new story. Just like Destiny 2 and pretty much every sequel ever. I don't get why people think it should be 100% different. It wouldn't be Destiny if they changed every aspect of the game. Destiny 2 does add new features btw, I will just assume you didn't actually what the reveal if you can even say that.
Some of you might want to get your eyes checked. There are significant improvements to lighting and particle effects. The textures on everything are better quality , though I will admit the environments shown could have been a little more impressive. Also, why wouldn't Destiny 2 look similar to Destiny 1. It's the sequel to Destiny 1. What should it look like? Borderlands? Uncharted? Maybe people wanted a Destiny platformer instead of a fps?..I don't get it.
I am howeve...
Not a single crash on my pc either. Not sure what issues they are running into but I don't think those are wide spread problems. Most people seem to think it runs fantastic on pc.
It would be nice but the Pro was made for 4k displays. It's really all about higher than 1080 resolutions and HDR. No 1080p screens support hdr, and they are obviously capped at 1080p, other than being able to downscale. They could go for 60fps with lower resolutions but we can blame gaming media and the loud vocal minority here in articles and forums worshiping resolution over gameplay for this whole generation. Think back to all those articles bashing xbox for 900p instead of 1080, and...
Any suggestions for somewhere that gathers news from most gaming sites into one place, but that is actually moderated to keep the trolls/fanboys/bullshit articles in check? It wouldn't be hard to stop coming here if there was a site like that.
PC with a 1080 or better* FTFY. Let's not pretend every pc, or even 5 percent of PCs out there will be able to compete with Scorpio if Digital Foundry was right about the performance level.
Most people don't have a pc any where near Scorpio. My expensive as fuck pc from 3 years ago is weak in comparison unlike Ps4Pro, which is still outdone by my 3 year old pc. Scorpio will be the best experience for the cost of entry I believe. Likely around 500 (definitely a guess pulled from my ass), vs on pc to get what Scorpio is offering you will spend nearly that on your card alone. (If Digital Foundry is right about it being between a 1070 and 1080 in performance)
I'm sure they do. But it's a terrible policy. Knowing about it or not doesn't change that.
