The person who posted the shot that you showed also later stated that shot looks like that because you are coming out of a tunnel. In the game, Aidens eyes "readjust" to situations like that. The light looks really bright, but goes away very quickly. That shot was taken at just the right moment when exiting the tunnel to see this effect. About the screen shot, admittedly the mountains look bland. IDK if there is an LOD issue with the game, or the user just has it off to achieve bett...
That shot has some weird lighting going on. I love how people are hand picking the worst images to share. How about this ? http://i1.wp.com/gearnuke.c...
Or this? http://i1.wp.com/gearnuke.c...
Maybe even this one so I don't in...
Without the settings the game was running on, knowing the resolution is useless. What good are 4k screen shots if you have the textures turned all the way down? Not saying that is the case, but it would be nice if more information was available than the resolution. Certainly doesn't look like the Nvidia trailer. I'm going to reserve judgement until some pictures are posted with information provided other than resolution. As well as from my own experience with the game.
* The game only supports 64-bit versions, not 32. Wouldn't make sense being the other way around. People with higher than 4 gigs of ram wouldn't even be able to utilize it, and considering they recommend 6..Though that's already been proven to be inaccurate, needing 6 that is.
They will run directly off of the external hard drive. A 3.0 is fast enough for that I would think. You might not get the fastest load times ever, but that's a lot of storage capability for a console. Nice update from Microsoft. Sony needs to get on it with their external HDD update as well. I'll give MS that much, their updates certainly come more often, and tend to contain more.
This is what I got out of the article as well. He wasn't really down playing games. Considering he said it's the greatest medium ever created. I thought he made some great points. There is a lot of room for improvement.
Thank you. Don't get the disagrees it's useful information that adds to this conversation.
That sucks. There are benchmarks out of it running well on a 780ti. I actually have this coming for the ps4, didn't get it for my pc or I would let you know if I had the same issues as that is what I have in my pc as well. I was just stating what I had read so far in a few forums. But there are always exceptions. Hopefully both Nvidia and AMD get a new driver out soon that fixes issues for both.
Not really something new though. I traded in GTA V like a week or two before the PS4 released and $40 is exactly what I got.
The most uneducated comment that you see on game websites. Unfortunately one of the most repeated.
OT:@Menkyo, I got that from the article as well. He did say Yes when asked if someone would remember if you shot their wife. So that will be interesting to see. I wonder if some might seek revenge? That would be great.
@Shadonic Hey I'm not the one who generalized it as an MMO, that was Bungie. I don't really see it as that either, but if what they are going for is in fact an MMO like experience, they are going to need more than 12 players on screen. I didn't put any of "my logic" into that statement, just going by what the game has been stated to be. None of that was me coming to my own conclusions.
Did it have to be the same day as The Forest? lol Not complaining I'll grab both. This has dinosaurs though. It just might get more of my play time for that alone if the game play is good.
Seems like an AMD driver issue. People playing on Nvidia cards do not seem to be having any problems.
IDK Lukas. But I'm right there with you, I really hope it's not the later in your statement. If it's just limited areas for a competitive PVP mode it would be fine. But if it's the free-roam servers that would be terrible.
PS Now beta delayed, no pre-load for Watch Dogs. Everything is going to hell in a hand basket at Sony. Going down fast. /s
I doubt people would complain about that, but that's not the discussion. They are talking about 12 people in all in the same match. Though I believe 12 vs 12 would still be too low. At least aim for 32 vs 32. Even that number is low if this is supposed to be an MMO.
Indeed.
DK1 has been tested and works. Morpheus was said to work for one eyed gamers in the statements from Sony when it was announced. The guy who tested the DK1 wasn't even used to seeing with one eye. He had recently had surgery. The issues he had would not be issues for someone who had gotten used to single eye vision over a long period of time. Can't say anything about the consumer version as we don't know anything about it. But I will be getting one and I have vision in only one eye...
So much for OR forgetting about gaming after the Facebook buy out. They have been adding nothing but top dev talent. Things are going to get interesting in the next few years for VR, and gaming as a whole.
Nice I have a similar setup. Difference being a 4770k@4.2 instead of the 3770k @4.8, and the 16gm @ 2000mhz, I'm at 1866. Don't have the 500gb but have the same Samsung SSD at 256mb. Glad to see that the game should run well for me. While some aspects of the game don't look as good as what has been shown, the game doesn't look bad at all. So his hair doesn't look perfect and distant objects look bland. I won't be staring off miles into the horizon or checking out Aiden...
