I agree. I have actually started playing the first Saints Row again and i keep thinking to myself, this would be such a great game if only it were co op.

Funny how this follows a report yesterday that uncharted wasn't outselling games on other systems. and that it didn't even beat heavenly sword on opening sales. obviously if ppl wanted to play a game that's just like tomb raider only with slightly better graphics and story but the same basic gameplay, then they would buy it. but they don't, so they don't.... don't tell ppl they need to buy this game because your sponsors want you to. you can enjoy the game and let other ppl enjoy unreal ...
Well they even admit that COD 4 and COD 2 are the same game just take place in a different time period. and COD 2 was hardly even in this generation. They use the same engine and just added in a physics engine. gameplay is EXACTLY THE SAME! COD 4 is a total rehash...and not just of COD3 but of COD2. it's the same engine, same gameplay, even the same GUNS! all the guns feel exactly the same as they did before they even sort of look like the old wwII guns. all they did was put a red dot on some of the sights. the pace of the multiplayer is exactly the same. in the single player game the enemies still just line up in the same hiding spots and peak out the same way, and they all still have the same 3 or 4 death animations. You are outta your mind! Nobody plays that game anymore. it was popular for a year... Starcraft is STILL popular. all zelda games are great, but Starcraft is probably one of the most popular games of all time and for very good reason.

you can list games all day that you think belong there. but there is one game missing from the list that there is no reason should not be there. and i doubt anyone can disagree. No game should beat StarCraft.
Half Life 1 set the standard for years, then Half Life 2 set the new standard. Half Life 3 with definitely not be out for 5 years and be on a new engine, and they'll probably work with havok to really redefine in-game physics...again.
I think it's unfair to charge 70 dollars for any game. we are already coughing up 60 dollars. now game creators and releasing their games with fewer maps because they know with quick access to patches and updates, they can release more content later. then somebody realized that since these are closed networks, they can charge us for these maps. The reason why xbox FPS games are limited in number is because your system has to act as the server. in an MMO where you have to pay a monthly fee there will be dedicated servers. also, the graphics engine is the UE3 engine but this company wrote it's own layer to support large numbers of players. it's the limits of the individual system that keeps the number of players so low.

orange box isn't a game, it's 3.2 games. I agree as a whole it's probably the best value but since half life 2 already won a ton of awards back in 04 i don't think it should be on the list.
