Yaaawn
Microsoft has sold the least amount of consoles each generation thus far. Can we please wait until Microsoft passes one of its competitors before we coronate their yet to be announced console?
Ditch the Kinect focus and the online fee and they will be back in the position which they've built.
Continuing to ditch the core gamer and pump out less exclusives, while focusing on camera games is going to hurt their install base.
I could be wrong of course, but I really do see the Move, The eyetoy and Kinect as debilitating accesories rather than enhancements. It's ok to have them if the players wants to play with them, but to focus on them is ...
Clubber Lang - "Pain"
A Phoenix?
This is what happens when you ingest propaganda. The PS3 was never dead or slain, or killed, or even ill. How can it rise up from ashes when it was never down among the ashes?
All the years of media abuse had little to no effect on the userbase. The price did, but what does this all teach us?
-That all the hateful media articles here @ N4G and around the web do absolutely nothing to affect sales of a console, but instead only serve as a ...
Santa isn't real?!?!?!?
You lie!
Keep Darksiders from getting campy and too commercial. Keep it macabre with that perfect amount of eerie and creepy elements. Just keep it real.
Change the menu system and remove the silly portal puzzles. The first game had way better puzzle elements. Keep the bombs because I love the horsemen's 'throw bomb' animation, and continue with the huge enemy design. Just make the combat with said giants more original and less SoTC style.
While I enjoyed Dark 2, I actually felt like something was lacking or off about it. It's almost as if the game was trying too hard. It was a very solid game, and it did expand on aspects of the intial game, but I do hope the 3rd installment of the series can clean up the story a bit and focus on enemy design a little more. Also, the weapon upgrade system must be completely revamped. I really disliked the Darksiders 2 weapons uprgrading and menu UI.
What's w/ the sentiment of Vita being on death's door? It isn't. It's not selling as intended obviously, but it is selling. The sales are going to pick up. The thing about Vita is this; it's such a quality handheld device that the more it sells, the more others will see it and also buy one. It's going to be exponential because it's just that awesome. It's going to take the handheld market by the throat eventually.
Sometimes the best tak...
That depends on the content, now doesn't it?
No one will simply alter their habits based solely on the generation in which they game, if the options are the same. So the question becomes one that is contingent upon the quality of what is being offered digitally.
Personally, I will continue to rent my games and if there are great options for digital download then I will buy them. However, it is entirely too early to speculate as to whether or not I will ...
Just use the old store's UI until a better one can be implemented.
The abortion that currently sits on everyone's console, known as the PS Store has got to go! Worst UI ever. One cannot even find themes and avatars quickly if they want to. It's a disgusting mess of what used to be completely functional and user friendly.
Always on is fine.
Always on only after 60 dollar anual fee is not!
That's the whole point, isn't it?
I don't think anyone really cares that their machine has to be online. It's the fact that MS is forcing their online fee. That's the disgusting aspect.
How is this even possible?
Neither machine is on the market! Hell, one machine has yet to even be announced and the other....we don't even know what it looks like!
Alluding to anyone 'winning' is completely absurd.
Half will.
The other half wants to cut themselves and whine about how hard life is, while they don't have a job to go to or any sports teams to play for.
Im kidding!
Seriously though, I would think the real numbers are much higher than 50%. Don't kids work anymore nowadays?
Gaming on a tablet is like masturbating. The end result is the same, but nowhere near as enjoyable as the real experience. Tablets in general are lame. Just because the technology exists to have a touchscreen application doesn't mean one should dedicate their hardware to it.
In the end, controllers and buttons rule the roost, and touchscreen and motion controls are gimmicks which hurt the gaming industry.
TBH totally honest, I don't even know what anybody buys games anymore. 95% of games are worthless after a playthrough. All games are simple enough to playthrough within 12 hours, give or take. The games with great multiplayer aspects are the only game which warrant a 60 dollar purchase.
Now, for 17 bucks a month, one can rent and finish as many as 4 games..... A full savings of more than 220 dollars! I don't think gamers just stop and do the math. Look at it! ...
Didn't you know? Fanboys live in a constant state of extremes and hyperboles.
There is no middle ground around here.
Definitely very cool if the new xbox can record television programs on it's drive while you game. If you don't have a DVR, the xbox can kind of act as one. What would be great would be if the new xbox could act as a Tivo for when you're not home.
I'm not really one for wanting to focus on media hub as I would rather games always be the focus, but the new xbox will probably have a nice place for new and returning gamers. Time will tell I suppose.
Everyone can say what they believe of course, but the facts are the following.
Microsoft has sold the least amount of consoles each generation, and by adding a crippling feature, they are essentially eliminating themselves from serious competition this gen. They should be giving gamers more opportunities, not taking them away while charging them a fee to do so.
This isn't even debatable to a rational individual.
Seriously?
Why doesn't it just say
"Microsoft lags during development, but will win anwyway because I deepthroat them!"
That is what I read.
