Its simple, easy on the eyes and no gimmicks. I love it.
I am not a social network person. I do not care for the new PSN store either so I will have to acclimate to the new style. Im sure I will get used to it, but I definitely prefer the simple metro like xmb. Black and white, icons, select, done.
I dont see that happening, for threee main reasons.
1 - No 1 year head start for 720
2 - No RROD leading to users buying four machines
3 - Both machines will be priced roughly the same.
These three issues basically coronate SONY as the next generation winner. I could be wrong of course, but those issues were in fact very influential, and PS3 still outsold 360 anually.

This is what I heard whenever I played Dead Space 3. The game def lost points for that. I love breasts, but I don't need to get a cheap boob shot during a videogame. Have some class, guys.

Any machine which plays little puppets slamming on tiny drum sets when I 'Move' them to, is definitely aimed @ kids. Not men.
The machine will be well rounded and multi-fun. For all intents though, it is a men among boys. It's powerful and smells like aftershave.

Mouse & keyboard is the noobiest way to play. Console gamers play on consoles because mouse and keyboard are for those who eat chips in front of pc all day, get nervous around women, and have more pimples than 360 has Halo players. Mouse & keyboard, lol. That's a good one.
Concerning DS4?
No one knows yet. Nobody other than a select few have actually used it yet. It does look promising though. (just not as super kewl as mouse ...

If one cannot get past level 3, then they're not worthy of levels 4- the end.
Thats just me though. Im old school. Im sure many will use it and enjoy it. Those same people probably like the designated hitter too. Im just a purist. You buy a game, you play the game, you beat the game. No more hand holding.
This moves strengthens the industry, hands down.
Customers see more affordable consoles, more developers will support all 3 systems depending on who's willing to pay rather than being dependant on knowing the architecture, and gamers will see smoother, better games across the board from all publishers.

Quick swipe inventory or weapon wheel selections for sure.
Rather than menu screening or d pad pressing in Skyrim, one can swipe the pad and highlight desired whatever. Thats one use which could be very helpful.

I agree that the price point is hypocritical accross the board.
Gasoline here in NY is well over 4 bucks, apple and orange juice are astronomical, and anything 'i' related or mobile device related are marked up a ludicrous degree, and we still continue to shell out the money. We as consumers whine about prices while simultaneously setting the benchmarks when we pay the astronomical prices. It's madness to me. If an ipad is 650 bucks or more, then why would a 50...
