Its definitely better, and harder than Dark Souls. You have to remember that when Demons Souls hit the scene there wasn't much at all to go on, other than some messages on the digital ground. There was no wiki for a few months, and every player had to learn the hard way.
Dark Souls is similar, but its basically a Demons Souls lite. There are no world dependencies, and the bonfires basically nerf the game.

The 2D days are over. Why would you want to play a handheld, 2 gens ago type game on your ps3? Its a 60 dollar game, not a 10 dollar download. Yes I love SoTN too, but Lament and Curse showed that 3D Vania is perfectly fine. You have to be willing to change.

Did Konami not look at the timeline? We played as Trevor in Castlevania III way back in like 1990 for Nintendo. Alucard was in that game too. How could Trevor and Alucard be in the same game, both in their respective adult forms, if they are the same person?

Gamers don't want novelty items and TV. We have mobile phones and cable boxes for that. The all in 1 machine often leads to having none of the options optimized. Jack of all trades etc...

Demons Souls was probably my favorite multiplayer game.
If there is another Souls game on PS4, you'd better believe its multiplayer will be kickass.
