Kevin Maney cites the decline of traditional gaming and the rise of social networking gaming, such as Farmville. Mr Maney would probably like to know that even social networking games are in a decline. *gasp!* The [entire] industry is in a bit of a trough, brother.

$150 for an Arcade bundle = 2 platinum hit games, 1 wireless controller, 256mb memory card, and 1 month of XBL Gold. Too much? That's the cheapest bundle around.
Are you sure that's not an unboxing from one of the units gifted to the press @ E3? I can't watch the video (at work right now).
In any case, this doesn't mean that it's not bundled with the data migration kit at RETAIL.

IIRC, every iteration of the Xbox360 uses x-clamps.
Quote from a Xbox repair expert:
"First problem is the lead-free solder being used by Microsoft (required by law) cracks under lower temps, unlike a lead based solder. Second problem is the PCB likes to flex, and once flexed, it wont go back to OEM specs. This combined with the ball grid array (BGA), temperature, and lead free solder = big problems."

But that's not to discount the incredible attention to detail. I have a harder time differentiating between real/CGI for the exterior shots. These are mostly interior and ZOOMED, not going to fool anyone.
=)
To be fair, a few retailers are already listing it for $150 anyway.
Also your "Playstation Move" paragraph should be "you think" instead of "you thing." Good read otherwise.
We officially wont hear anything until August.

3rd person shooter.
The Xbox360 sold just under 6 million units in its first year, which is a few days before the PS3 launched. So granted MS had a 6 million unit head start and it took PS3 4 years to come within 4 million units. If this growth is linear (unlikely?) it would take around ~8 years for the PS3 sales to even up with Xbox360 sales.

Yeah.. cannot report yet.
Red Dead Redemption. Most use, "it's like GTA IV in the wild west," to describe RDR simply because that's the easiest way to so.
"Your body is the controller" is the simplest way one can describe Kinect. Think about it, how can you describe Kinect [OBJECTIVELY] in the fewest amount of words. "It's like moving my body does things on the screen!" Don't be ridiculous people.
Ms Martin couldn't have simply heard the phrase used at the event and regurgitated it? "Your body is the controller" isn't exactly the most imaginative way of describing Kinect anyway. This clip doesn't at all prove that she's on MS' bank roll.
It's *still* thinking... [/whisper]

IIRC...
Steamworks = publishing/development API with features like digital rights management, social networking, achievements, and such.
Steam = digital distribution, DRM, multiplayer communication program.
Kinect - no official announcement on pricing yet. Check back in August. PS3 Move costs $50 per Move, $30 for Eye Toy, and then another $30 if you want navigation controllers for everyone. Or you can buy a bundle for $400.
12 month - what do you mean by this? 12 months of XBL? That can be had for $30-$50 depending on where you look. Either way, you get what you pay for, which is the best console gaming network/experience available.
Replace - again, what do yo...
